The Fourth of July is about family, friends, fireworks and cookouts! I love to grill out all year long. But there is something about a family cookout that celebrates a holiday. Today, let's share what you are cooking for the holiday? Do you have a secret recipe? Something that you are known to be an expert on? Any hints for making grilling grand? I'd love to hear from you. Each comment is an entry to win the $10 Amazon gift card and these beautiful silver and green bead earrings. Also make sure you check out the other sites that are also a part of this blog hop. Thanks for the giveaway! I'm not a very good cook, so I usually end up just baking brownies for our family's cookout. 7/2/2012 02:32:56 pm
I love cooking hamburgers and hot dogs out on the grill. Thanks for the great giveaway.

We don't cook/bake anything special for the 4th. Never did as a kid either.

Someone stole my $60 grill, so I'm using a 50% off a Boston Market family meal coupon tomorrow.

There is nothing like a steak of the grill. A little Montreal Steak seasoning on a good cut of meat is all I need for a mouthwatering experience. Oh, and some corn on the cob. The ultimate summer meal. The boyfriend and I usually do hot dogs and brat's for dinner and then later make S'mores. Sadly right now we don't have a grill, but thanks to pinterest I discovered that using a small terracotta pot, with the inside covered with foil, and a few pieces of charcoal you can get a nice little fire going for S'mores. Perfect if you have a small deck and no room for a grill.

If you have fresh fruit available, it's great on the grill - my favorites are pineapple with a little honey, or peaches. They taste amazing after grilling.

We always have a big cookout with family. This year is hamburgers and hotdogs...and lots of side dishes to go with it. I made a strawberry pizza, fruit salad and macaroni salad. There will be tons of food, swimming, games and visiting...weather permitting, fireworks at dusk. The bright beautiful in the sky ones are my favorite. I don't care for the loud BOOMERS, LOL [email protected]

I don't have any special recipes but one of my favorite things to cook on the grill is Italian sausages cooked with onions & peppers in a pan with a beer. That and making packets of potatoes, onions, peppers with butter & seasons are some of my favorite things.

My hubby is grilling out a couple of ribeyes for us. We'll have baked potatoes and corn on the cob with them. We started with a great COLD tossed salad.
