Holiday Romance #newrelease #SNOWINLOVE

11/21/2022

Picture
It starts usually right after Halloween. The holiday books arrive!! We spend November and December reading tales filled with snow, santas and decorations! One of my new favorite books is SNOW IN LOVE. It features enemies who find that they have more in common than they thought. But it's the cute way that the hero woos the heroine with holiday moments that made me fall for him. You'll have to check out this amazing tale for yourself!!

Blurb:
The slopes are heating up this holiday season!
Skiing’s golden girl finds love this Christmas when she falls for the sport’s bad boy.

Christmas is Sienna Markum’s favorite time of year. From the tinsel and traditions to the down time with family, all Sienna wants is a break from training. The Paralympics are months away, and she’s set on winning Alpine gold.

Connor Shoemaker has no plans for Christmas, other than train for the Paralympics. A motocross accident took one of his legs – and all of his confidence. Connor doesn’t think anything can get his old mojo back, until he meets Sienna.

Sienna was told her training would be private, but soon, she starts to warm up to her new training partner. Bad boy Connor is more than meets the eye. When her Christmas plans fall through, Sienna finds the best present under the tree – Connor.

But is Sienna willing to balance her training with a shot at love?
Can Connor find his confidence again, off and on the slopes?
Together, these two will learn there is more to life than skiing. And it looks a whole lot like love.

Fans of sports romances like Icebreaker by Hannah Grace, and The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata will love the enemies to lovers and forced proximity tropes in Libby Kay’s books. SNOW IN LOVE will have you snuggling up and enjoying hot cocoa by the fire. A perfect cold weather read!

EXCERPT:
“What got you up so early, Captain Christmas?”

Beaming, Connor leaned over the arm of the couch and retrieved a tray of fresh cinnamon rolls. “I bribed the staff to get us some food before they left for the holiday. I hope you don’t mind cinnamon rolls.” Sienna reached out to take one of the delectable-looking buns, but Connor pulled the tray just out of reach. “Oh no, not yet. We’re taking these babies on the road.”

Confused, Sienna asked, “On the road?”

Connor stood, balancing the tray in one hand and reached for Sienna with the other. He pulled her up and then draped his arm around her. Even with the heavenly aroma of cinnamon, she couldn’t miss the distinctive smell of pine that followed Connor everywhere. Nestling into his side, she savored his closeness. He was as warm and fragrant as a campfire.

Guiding them to the patio doors, Connor motioned toward the balcony. “Well, not on the road, but I thought we’d take in the view with breakfast.” When Sienna opened the sliding door, she was greeted to a winter wonderland. The mountains were covered in a fresh dusting of snow, as white and fluffy as powdered sugar on beignets. The green branches of the evergreens peaked out, offering a splash of color in the otherwise pristine tableau.

Usually, the sight of fresh powder had Sienna itching for her skis. But now, standing in the crisp air with a hot man—and an even hotter breakfast—beside her, she was content to enjoy the moment. “This is amazing.”

What is it about your hometown that remains with you long after you have moved away? For me, Amherst, Ohio will always be my hometown. Today, I was driving and thinking about visiting once more, even though I haven't lived there in over 40 years. Hometowns mean so much to us, for good or bad.

I love small town romances which feature a sweet hometown. Libby Kay's newest preorder features a small town you will fall in love with. Buckeye Falls, Ohio reminded me a lot about Amherst. I could see myself visiting it someday.

Falling Home is also a perfect romantic Christmas tale of a couple who needs to reconnect... and the holidays are a perfect time! Available December 20th, be sure to preorder this enticing tale!

Blurb:
Welcome to Buckeye Falls, Ohio!
‘Tis the Season for Second Chances…And this couple is going to need a Christmas Miracle!

When New York transplant Ginny Meyer returns to her small hometown to help her father recover from surgery, she isn’t looking for any complications. No Christmas caroling, no cookie decorating, and certainly no time spent with her ex-husband, Max. The trouble is, she’s looped into helping with the Christmas Jubilee—and a certain ex is her planning partner. Now all her plans to avoid Max disappear in a puff of tinsel. But she can resist his charms, right?

Max Sanchez has three great loves in his life—his diner, Christmas, and his ex-wife. He’s spent two years missing the woman who broke his heart and left town, and he’ll use any excuse to spend time with her. Max hopes some holiday cheer, and his famous cheese enchiladas, can help them find their way back together. Buckeye Falls hasn’t felt the same since Ginny left, and Max can tell she’s warming to the idea of staying in town. Now if only he could get her to stay with him…

With a little help from the residents of Buckeye Falls, this Christmas is bringing more than presents under the tree.

What Will You Do After High School? #newYAromance

11/14/2022

Picture
High school is a big deal for many of us. It's when we have our first loves and when we feel like big cheeses as we try to figure out what we want to do in life. But the big question is... what happens next!

WALTZIN' BLIND answers that question for Lila and Austin, the main characters from Author Connie L. Smith's book- Jivin' Tango. The sporty couple (her dance and him football) must navigate not only the high school drama but secrets!

WALTZIN' BLIND is a wonderful Young Adult read that brings the reader back to the feelings of high school-- the first loves, dances, and best friends. The characters are engaging and will bring to mind some of your old best buds!!

Blurb:
Dancing in the storm is one thing. Waltzing in a secret one? Way harder.

Five months have passed since Lila and her dancer partner, Trent, placed third in the annual dance competition. That’s also when she fell, hard and fast, for her childhood friend, Austin. The dance competition was a dream come true. Austin was the surprise of a lifetime and proof that unknown things can be good—blissful, even, like a perfectly choreographed waltz under a moonlit sky.

But lately, the unknown things are piling up. Her friend, Jacey, is keeping secrets, her parents are acting odd, and Austin is most definitely hiding something from her—something big. And is she losing her mind, or is she suddenly being watched?

Her world no long feels like a graceful waltz, but a mosh pit of dancing elephants she has to ignore if she wants to keep her sanity, even if it means closing her eyes to everything around her. After all, it’s her tried-and-true method of coping, and she’ll cling to it for dear life.

Lila’s waltzing blind through an obstacle course of secrets. One misstep, and she’ll break under the weight of all the lies and deceit, and the carnage won’t be pretty.

The thing about a waltz? One misstep is easy to spot and hard to ignore, let alone two, three, four…

Don’t Miss the Exciting Sequel to Jivin’ Tango, the beginning of Trent and Lila’s love story. Praise for Jivin’ Tango- “This book involves several lessons many women need to learn. It's also a well written love story. The characters are relate-able and fun. Ms. Smith gives us a front row seat to events pretty common in the high school world.” -Book Reviewer

EXCERPT:

With a heavy sigh and not a bit of an answer to that question, I push the “send” button to make the call anyway.

“Austin,” Lila answers. Unhappily.

Yeah, this could be bad. “Hey, Munchkin. I’m sorry about canceling our date.”

“Through a text.”

I wince and reluctantly nod. “Yeah. Through a text. Something with the team came up, and I had to deal with it.”

“What with the team?”

“Something that’s probably nothing,” I say, rolling my eyes at my own words. “I know that’s not much to go on, but it’s really nothing to worry about.”

“Then why can’t you tell me what it is?”

I scrounge for an answer, but come up with nothing.

She only gives me a few seconds before she sighs and starts talking again. “You know what? I was out running with Jacey today, and I’m tired. I’m gonna get off here.”

“Lila,” I start, but then pause, unsure of what to say. “I’ll make it up to you, okay?” I finally manage. “You pick a night this week, any night, and I’ll come up with something incredible for us to do. All right?”

“Yeah,” she agrees, but it isn’t an excited agreement. In fact, she sounds downright dejected. “Later, Austin.”

Before I can get out an “I love you,” I hear a dial tone.

A Father's Shadow #coverreveal #newromance

11/10/2022

Picture
Dad's cast a big shadow. I know how much my father has influenced me and my life, so it makes sense when a father takes center stage in a romance. After all, a dad is a girls first love.

Author Isobel Reed's new romance, LOVE TOOLS, features a young woman who decides to run her father's tool store. Her dad remains forefront as she comes to terms with her relationship with him.

LOVE TOOLS is a fun read that you will have you laughing out loud. Now available for preorder, LOVE TOOLS releases Dec. 6th! Just in time for the holidays!!

Blurb:
What happens when the king of casual meets the queen of picking the wrong men?

Lily is running. From a dead-end job, a neurotic mother and all the losers she dared to date. Moving halfway across the world to Bluestone County seemed like a good idea at the time. So did reopening her estranged father’s hardware store. But now she isn’t so sure.

Small town living has its perks though. Wide-open space, clean air, and sexy cowboys. Well, one sexy cowboy. Jake. Who also just so happens to be the new bane of her existence. At least when he’s not talking, she can admire the view.

Jake is the king of casual. The love of his life has always been his ranch, and that was fine with him. He never really saw the point in long-term. But all that changes when a mouthy, blonde sasses him into oblivion. He should have known she’d be trouble as soon as he laid eyes on her. Now it’s too late. She’s all he can think about. All he has to do is convince her that he’s finally the right man.

Isobel Reed’s hilarious, emotionally charged romance will have you holding your side with laughter or reaching for a tissue. Reminiscent of small-town romance by Tessa Bailey or Kristen Ashley, you will fall in love with LOVE TOOLS and Isobel Reed’s unique writing style.

Oops! I Didn't Plan on Falling In Love #newromance

11/7/2022

Picture
Have you ever been friends with benefits until you realized you weren't? You know... you played around, no commitments. Just two people having fun. That's what Austin and Casey thought was going on, until they realized they both wanted more.

Author Julie Navickas' latest story- I LOVE YOU TODAY, is a charming read about two people who were enjoying the single life and baseball. Austin was on the rebound after losing his heart to his brother's girl (and losing her). Casey deserved more than a guy who had his heart set on her best friend, but she'd take what she could get. I LOVE YOU TODAY shares their strikes and hits as they navigate romance. One thing I love about Julie's narration is that the characters are so relatable! Casey or Austin could be me!

I LOVE YOU TODAY is now available in ebook and print. It's a book you'll want for your very own. And while it's the second book in the TRADING HEARTBEATS TRILOGY, it's a stand alone. Casey and Austin get their own book where they were only secondary characters in the first book. And if you fell in love with Josh and Mavis from the first book.... they are the secondary characters who show up in this book.

Blurb:
Baseball season’s underway – and every game, is game seven.

Austin Templeton fell in love with the wrong girl. Mavis Benson was never meant to be his. After all, from childhood, her soul belonged to his cross-town rival, twin brother, Josh. The diamond ring he’d placed on her finger sealed fate’s door.

With his heart on the Injured Reserve, Austin relocates to Chicago and turns to Casey – an easy-to-love Cubs fan ready for any fastball thrown her way. She’s impulsive and reckless – everything he isn’t. And she’s exactly what he needs – two thousand miles away from his past heartache.

But when a promotion in Los Angeles lands in his glove, Austin is forced to choose between the dream career he spent his life working toward and the quirky girl in Wrigley Field who stitched his heart back together. With two strikes against him in the bottom of the ninth, will Austin strike out or hit a homerun? There’s only one way to find out.

Grab this World Series hit, today. Because it’s the bottom of the ninth and bases are loaded. Austin Templeton is at bat. Win or go home – because one more strike could cost him everything – including the heart of Cinderella herself. I LOVE YOU TODAY is the enchanting sequel to award-winning novel, I LOVED YOU YESTERDAY. And while it can be read as a standalone, you’ll want to grab all the pennants for the winning season.

EXCERPT
“Casey,” he whispered, reaching over to squeeze her hand. “Look at me. Please?”

With her sleeve, she wiped the offending tears away from her cheeks and turned. His head swiveled, working to balance the heated conversation and the line of traffic as the terminal approached.

“You are absolutely everything to me, Casey girl. In every way that matters, you are my equal.” He tugged her hand back to his lips.

She scrunched her nose. “Be real, Austin. You’re like this wealthy, sexy, successful man with a glass castle on Michigan Avenue. And I’m just this paycheck-to-paycheck bartender failing general education courses at community college. You see the difference, right?”

“Is that what this is about? Your test today?”

She scrunched down in her seat and rested her knees against the dashboard like a child.

“No… I don’t know. I just can’t help thinking that your family won’t like me, that you should be with someone better. Someone more accomplished.”

The car crept beneath the overhang of the terminal. “Case, hear me when I tell you that you’re flat-out wrong on this.” He took a deep breath and exhaled. “People like you, people like Mavis… you’re survivors. I had every advantage growing up. I fully admit that.” He steered the car into an empty spot beside baggage claim five and six and waved to his sister. “If anything, you’re better than me. You’ve accomplished way more.” He leaned over and placed a kiss on her damp cheek. “Let’s talk about this later, okay?”
