Sisters' stories  #coverreveal

9/22/2022

Picture
I love stories about sisters because I understand the heroines. I am one of five girls in my family. There were times when I loved having sisters, as well as, days wishing I was an only child. Finding the Solstice Quartet books, I saw characters that I could recognize.

In DIA'S LURE, the third Ngata sister finds her heart.
Now available for preorder! Don't Miss Out!

Blurb:
When Dia finally gets caught, she has to decide: flee or fight? Or…fall in love?

After years on the run, Dia Ngata’s luck has run out. Not by hunters, though, but by a reclusive bat shifter colony and the witches bound to them. The worst part? Her fellow captive happens to be Carver Kano, the ex-lover who betrayed her all those years ago.

Carver Kano admits his mistakes, and his biggest was being too late to stop the slaughter of Dia’s tribe. Ever since, the investigative journalist has focused on putting the biggest and baddest behind bars; however, he can’t escape the prison of his guilt.

When he gets captured by the bat colony, he doesn’t expect to form a friendship with the handsome bat shifter Milos or to have a chance to earn Dia’s forgiveness. Dia plans to escape as soon as possible. And Milos? He simply wants to survive.

Dia is Kano’s mate, but Milos ignites something in them both. When someone from Kano’s past threatens the colony, can the trio put their fears and mistrust aside? Or will history repeat itself once more?

Love shifters? Catherine Peace’s Solstice Quartet series blends magic and love as three daughters of a swan tribe find love where they least expect it. Peace’s stories bring to mind books by Patricia Briggs and Carrie Ann Ryan.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Catherine Peace has been telling stories for as long as she could remember. She often blames two things for her forays into speculative fiction—Syfy (when it was SciFi) channel Sundays with her dad and The Island of Dr. Moreau by HG Wells. She graduated in 2008 from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in English and is still chasing the dream of being super rich and famous, mostly so she can sit around in her PJs all day and write stories.

Catherine currently lives on a farm in South Carolina. E-I-E-I-O.

Happy Book Birthday Kristine Lynn!!

Happy Book Birthday!!

It takes a great deal of work to craft a book. The writing alone leaves many authors in the dust. Sitting down in a chair and putting the words on the paper is only the first task. Once the book is contracted and you are assigned an editor, you work with them to craft the best story. A cover designer creates an eye-catching cover, then a formatter puts it all together.

With all the work an author puts in, the day a book is released should be a celebration. Hard work and perseverance, dedication and drive...those are a few of the things authors need. But they also must have talent.

Kristine Lynn has all those things and talent galore. Her Aldonia Royals Novels are captivating and draw the reader into the characters' love stories. Today, we celebrate the release of her third (can be read as a stand alone) book- REUNITING WITH HER PRINCE.

REUNITING WITH HER PRINCE has mistaken identity, royal switcheroos and true love. The steamy love story will have you reminiscing about your own love story. But don't take my word for it... check out the blurb and excerpt, then buy a copy for yourself!

Blurb:
Royal responsibilities have never been such a liability for these monarchs-in-disguise!

When Lissa runs away from the unthinkable fate that awaits her as Princess of Aldonia, a stranger she meets is just the distraction she’s looking for—hot as sin, and sexy as hell. Yep, he’ll help her forget all about her troubles. If only she could forget about him when it’s time for her to return to Aldonia…

… and marry a prince she’s never met in order to keep her family out of crippling debt!

Gael was doing some running away of his own when he met Lissa. He just doesn’t see the need for pedantic practices like arranged marriages anymore, which is what’s awaiting him when he returns to Spain. He wants to marry for love, a possibility he hadn’t considered before meeting Lissa.

So, he gives up the throne to track her down, and sets in motion a cruel twist of fate neither of them could have anticipated. Because the next time he sees Lissa, the woman of his dreams, she’s walking down the aisle to marry the new Galician Prince--his younger brother!

Will the two star-crossed lovers ever find a way out of the royal mess they’re in so they can finally be together?

EXCERPT:
His scent mixed with the thick ocean air, wrapping her in a musk that was one hundred percent masculine. A hint of spice—Cypress and Pine—snaked up her nostrils, invading her senses. For a moment, she forgot who she was and why she was there. Her knees gave out, but his arms steadied her, drew her closer.

“Sorry about that. My family is a little… intense.” Yep. That accent was a hundred percent Spanish. Dios, indeed.

“No problem. We’ve got time. Besides, if anyone understands intense family, it’s me.”

“Well, then maybe we should run away together and never come back,” he teased. He paused and gestured for her to introduce herself.

“Lissa. And I’ll come any time you want,” she replied haughtily, gesturing with a mimicked wave of her hand that she’d like his name as well. Tit for tat, or something to that effect. She rarely gave anything without expecting at least equal in return. Part of her genetic makeup.

“I’m Gael. And I’ll keep that in mind. Do you have a last name, Lissa?”

“Not one I care to share.”

He laughed then, a full, throaty guffaw that filled the open air space.

“Well, Lissa with no last name, may I buy you a drink?” he asked, setting his empty bottle on the bar top in front of her.

“Why not? A vodka martini. Dirty. Extra dirty,” she added, tossing him a wink.

EXCERPTS:
After stepping out of the shower, Dana shivered as Jerome wrapped her with a towel. He knew she hadn’t liked the cold water, but he’d enjoyed soaping, massaging, and rinsing her smooth, sexy skin. She was so beautiful …

Maybe it’s for the best that we didn’t make love before tomorrow.

He couldn’t shake his gloomy thoughts about the upcoming fight with Uriah.

What if he kills her first?

He clenched his jaw and turned, looking at himself in the bathroom mirror and staring hard at his reflection.

I am going to make damn sure that if anyone dies in the fight, it will be Uriah.

“Don’t w-w-worry,” Dana said, her teeth chattering, “you look as h-h-handsome as ever, especially with your h-h-hair wet.” She stretched the towel tightly around her.

Jerome turned away from the mirror and pulled her close into his body. “Does my heat feel good now?”

“Yes,” she murmured.

They stood close together for a few minutes. He released her when she stopped shivering.

“You still going to spend the night?” he asked. “You might as well. It’s around two in the morning.”

“I guess so. I mean, if you don’t mind,” Dana said.

“Of course I don’t mind. Let’s crawl into bed right now.”

They went into his bedroom. He found a long T-shirt for her to sleep in. While she put on the shirt, he pulled on loose boxer shorts.

“Sorry about your underwear,” he said. “I’ll buy you something nice to replace them.”

“Ha!” Dana said. “You sure didn’t seem sorry when you ripped them off me!”

“Oh, I wasn’t sorry at all.” He chuckled.

Dana slipped into the bed, pulling the covers up. Jerome sat down on the side, placing his elbows on his knees and holding his head in his hands.

“What is it?” Dana said.

“Dana, if you … I mean, when you kill that sorry bastard, you have no idea how much it will mean to me. I’ve been waiting so damn long.”

About the Author:
Elsa has been reading love stories for as long as she can remember and when she ‘met’ the classic authors like Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Henry James The Brontë sisters, etc. during her Honours studies, she was hooked for life.

She married her college boyfriend and and they are fortunate to live in the picturesque little seaside village of Betty's Bay, South Africa.

She adores writing kissing books with strong, beautiful, feisty, independent and headstrong heroines and dashing Alpha heroes who loves fiercely and protects the ones they love. Her stories typically incorporate the family background of the characters to better understand where they come from and who they are when we meet them in the story.
