Hidden identities #newrelease #NewRomance

12/13/2021

Picture
What if the person you thought you were falling in love with was actually someone else? The mistaken identity is a great romance trope. It sets up both a comedic action but also a wonderful way to "really" fall in love with the person, not the job/identity/wealth.

A prince pretending to be a commoner. A famous actor pretending to be a nobody. The characters get to know the person underneath and have a stronger connection, rather than relying on the surface charms.

Kristine Lynn's latest release, AN HEIR FOR THE SECRET PRINCE features a mistaken identity, a prince pretending to be someone he isn't. Best of all, it features compelling characters and a wonderfully written story of romance. Kristine Lynn will quickly become your new favorite author.

Blurb:
Okay, who invited the journalist?

Philip, advisor to the Prince of Aldonia, is livid when he discovers someone invited a nosy reporter to the palace to write a salacious story about the royal family. The problem is, the more she digs into their pasts, the more she will find out about him--and his private life is none of her damn business. Which is why no one is more shocked than him when, on a whim, he asks her to stay on as his guest.

Aurelia is only certain of two things when she meets Philip on assignment in Aldonia: he’s hot as melted sin on a cracker and he’s hiding something. Too bad he’s NOT the story she’s there for. However, that won’t stop her from finding out just why he’s so reclusive—and tempting.

However, when their growing attraction takes an unexpected turn, Philip may be forced to share his darkest secrets with Aurelia—secrets that will change her life. Will their new relationship be strong enough to overcome the adversity these revelations bring?

Discover the breathtaking country of Aldonia as you root for Philip and Aurelia’s love story! For more of the Aldonian royal world (and the next installment of the Aldonia Royals series), check out A Bride for the Aldonian King.

EXCERPT:
“How much do you recall from last night, Aurelia?”

Her head spun—whether from the heat or the inquiry, she couldn’t be sure. Either way, she was distracted, lightheaded.

“Aside from the obvious?” she quipped.

Philip nodded.

“Yes. Aside from that. Before I left, I told you something, something important. Do you remember what I said?” His voice had taken on a caring, paternal quality, but there was something dangerous behind it, an edge that belied nerves he’d not shown to her before. That sent a tremor coursing through her body that only worsened as her dream from last night came back to her with a crashing clarity.

She’d been lying in a field of clover, a bubbling brook behind her that she could only see, not hear, and two horses were tied up nearby. It was nearing sunset because the light was soft, the colors in the sky sharp. Philip had been lying next to her, his hands trailing up and down her arm until a faceless sentry had sprinted into the clearing. Even though she couldn’t read his expression, it had been one of alarm she’d felt emanating from his rigid stance.

He had buzzed and beeped, a robotic language she couldn’t speak, but somehow understood.
We need you, Your Highness. There’s an emergency up at the palace.

She hadn’t been surprised in the dream that Philip had leapt to his feet to answer the call because he’d been, of course, the Prince the sentry was speaking to.

He is the Prince. She’d known it then as deeply as she knew it now. The tremor turned her insides to jelly, her skin to ice despite the near-hundred-degree air that stifled her ability to breathe, to think.

“You remember, don’t you?”

She nodded, even as she realized it changed everything, made her world as she knew it obsolete.

“You’re the Prince,” she whispered.

Family Relationships #coverReveal #GreaWarner

12/8/2021

Picture
Growing up in a family with five kids, squabbles were frequent. There were fights over who got to have friends over, who got to use the phone, and whose toys/clothes were theirs. Since I was the oldest, it often fell to my sisters to live with my hand-me-downs. One year though, I got to experience it after a teacher who had my sister, ended up as my teacher. The kind woman would share stories about how amazing my sister was. She even made mistakes and called me by my sister's name. It wasn't life altering, but gave me a new perspective.

Grea Warner's latest book, WHISKEY GIRL, involves family issues, whether living in the shadow of your sibling or how your sibling always got what you wanted. Her emotionally gripping writing draws you into the story and makes you fall in love with the characters. WHISKEY GIRL will become your new favorite.

Blurb:
I’ve been called many names—mid-kid, wild child, Ella Bella, preacher’s daughter, and probably a lot of others behind my back. Whiskey Girl, though, is top shelf. It’s not necessarily the most accurate. But it’s my favorite because of who crowned me with it.

Entering the bar, all I wanted was a temporary escape. I needed a moment of not comparing my life to my perfect sister’s. And that definitely meant a shot of something strong … something that would leave an impression. Little did I know, it wouldn’t be the alcohol but the stranger sitting beside me.

When fate traumatically threw us together a second time, the initial bond I had with that man strengthened. Maks understood sister issues. He understood being the undervalued family member. He understood loss. He understood me.

What Maks didn’t understand was my ability to protect myself from being hurt. I did it when playing sports, and I had learned to do the same with relationships. That’s why when it came to our goodbye, I needed to be the strongest proof and fly away.

But bottles break. Wings get clipped. And my directionless life suddenly seemed to have a plan of its own.

Releasing January 25th in ebook and print, be sure to add WHISKEY GIRL to your holiday wishlist!

Scrumptous new book #newreleasealert

12/6/2021

Is there a favorite author that you love to read? Someone who has amazing characters and story you can't put down?? Elsa Winckler is like that for me. Her books grip you from the start and you know the characters are going to get together eventually but along the way, the two of them are on a merry chase. Elsa's turn of a phrase and voice showcase the sweeping story whether it takes place in South Africa or the United States.

Her latest book, KISSING CHARLIE is just like that... a page turner with a little suspense and a lot of comedy. The characters jump off the page and make me chuckle. Now available in Ebook and Print, KISSING CHARLIE is perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella and Zoe York. Her books will quickly become your new favorites as well.

Blurb:
One Kiss Will Change Their Lives Forever

Bowen therapist Charlie Wilson is not interested in men or relationships. Her only concern is making sure her sister Lindsay is safe.

But then billionaire Logan Johnson walks into her rooms and stirs powerful feelings inside of her. Logan’s perfectly knotted tie is a clear indication free-spirit Charlie should steer clear of him at all costs.

They are complete opposites, so why does he keep coming back to see her?

Excerpt:
“How did you hurt your back?” Her voice was cool, and she wasn’t meeting his eyes.

“While hiking,” he said curtly. He was in pain; it didn’t matter what the hell happened. “Tell me about this Wowen, Bowen, whatever the hell you call this cr—therapy.”

She gave him a cool look. “It’s called Bowen Therapy.”

“Bowen Therapy,” he said, his gaze on her mouth.

“The guiding principles of the technique were established by Tom Bowen during the 1950s. It focuses on the whole person, not just the condition. In other words, it treats the cause, not only the symptoms. It helps the body to heal and restores the balance by shifting the body from your innate ‘fight or flight’ system to a more natural state of calm.”

He watched her as she studied his body. She was holding something in her hand. Damn, she had yet to touch him, but he was struggling not to react to her nearness. The fact that he was lying on his back wasn’t helping, either.

“Natural state of calm? With you doing strange things to my body?” he grumbled, only realizing the ambiguity of his words when they hung in the air around them.

Her lips twitched.

“Oh, you think this is funny?” he snarled.

“I think you’re in pain. I think you like being in control and at the moment, you’re not. That’s why you feel the need to lash out. But it’s fine. I often have children throwing tantrums.”

“I’m not throwing a tantrum, damn it…” He tried to sit up straight, but a pain shot up his back, and groaning, he had to slowly lie down again.

“The movements in Bowen Therapy,” she continued as if he hadn’t interrupted her, “are very distinctive and are used on precise points on the body. It involves moving the soft tissue in a particular way. I will use a rolling-type movement, using my fingers, hands, or sometimes my elbow. It will create a focus for the brain by stimulating the nerve pathways and tissue. I work on only a small area, depending how far your skin can move. What you may find strange—”

“This whole damn day is strange. I don’t know what the hell my mother was thinking,” he muttered.

About the Author:
Elsa has been reading love stories for as long as she can remember and when she ‘met’ the classic authors like Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Henry James The Brontë sisters, etc. during her English Honours studies, she was hooked for life.

She married her college boyfriend and soul mate and after 44 years, 3 interesting and wonderful children and 3 beautiful grandchildren, they are now fortunate to live in the picturesque little seaside village of Betty's Bay, South Africa.

She likes the heroines in her stories to be beautiful, feisty, independent and headstrong.  And the heroes must be strong but possess a generous amount of sensitivity. They are of course, also gorgeous!  Her stories typically incorporate the family background of the characters to better understand where they come from and who they are when we meet them in the story.
