Greek tales of Monsters and Gods have become a common place in modern stories. Retellings abound giving a tragic turn to Medusa or Hades. Award winning author, Rita Arens shares a romantic retelling of Helios, which will have you cheering for more!

Blurb:
Instead of heading to college, eighteen-year-old Meg lucks into a temporary position as personal secretary to Helen Cleaves, CEO of Aethon Power & Light.

When Helen's charming son turns his romantic attention toward Meg, she finds herself pulled along on Parker’s rule-bending quest for power within Aethon -- and her own struggle to determine the woman she will become.

What happens when you're not ready for the power you desire?

Revisit the Greek myth of the sun god, Helios, and his son Phaeton -- only this time Helios is Helen, the fiery-haired chief executive of Aethon Power & Light in Chicago and Phaeton is Parker, her hot-headed son and only heir.

THE BIRTHRIGHT OF PARKER CLEAVES offers for mythology what Marissa Meyer’s CINDER did for young adult fairy tales – a nostalgic plot, a powerful love interest and a fresh twist.

Vampires with a Conscience?? #Clara_Winter #KingOfKings #New_Release

7/9/2019

Picture
Vampires are portrayed as being single minded, only thinking about their next meal. But in Clara Winter's series, we see the important pieces they played in history. Now in the third book of her Immortal Kindred Series, we see bad boy vampire Alexandre has turned a new leaf after losing his head!

Blurb:
Love has no limits…

Alexandre has retreated from the world. He has no one to love, nowhere to call home. While licking his wounds in the middle of nowhere, Alexandre is approached by Irish lass, Bria. She has a proposal for him; to follow her to Ireland and fight demons.

Alexandre finds this amusing, but intriguing. More than anything, he is curious to see the individual who sent Bria, someone from his ancient past.

In Ireland, Alexandre confronts a dilemma greater than fighting demons. He must face down fiends of all kinds, deciding once and for all who he really is. Sparks fly between Bria and Alexandre, adding to the already complicated situation. Can a bad boy vampire really change?

The King of Kings is set in southern Ireland with a glimpse back to Ancient Egypt.

EXCERPT:
The finely decorated lobby was full of posh men and women, all wearing their best designer clothes and bespoke suits. Bria wasn’t fazed in the least by her surroundings as she devoured a granola bar, crumbs falling to the marble floor. She was wildly out of place here and I kind of loved it. Her flaming hair was enough to draw attention. Her clothing, which screamed survivalist, made her that much more conspicuous.

I moved up behind her. “You deserve a spanking for the ruckus in the hallway.”

“The man who spanks me is suicidal,” she said in a loud voice, drawing even more looks from the guests and staff. Bria began walking toward the glittering revolving door, not bothering to see if I followed.

We took the train to the coast, making it just in time. Bria chided me the entire way for “sleeping in”. I couldn’t wait until we were on the boat with what I hoped was a roaring motor.
