Clean Break or Simply a Rebound? #Cover_Reveal

11/19/2020

Picture
After a breakup, do you need a clean break? A new place? A fresh start? Or are you more apt to have a rebound fling? A one night stand?

While there is something to be said about loving the one you are with, when you can't love the one you want, I find that a rebound only complicates things. A clean break means a fresh start and in some cases that means a move away, a new job or *grin* giving him a swift kick in the teeth. Haha.

Seriously, I think it's better to be out of sight, out of mind.

Mindy McKinley's second Adams Brother story is one to die for! This is a hunky furniture designer who uses his hands to build things. Think Jonathan Scott from Property Brothers, but even hotter!

Now it's Mason's turn to find happiness... but will he be as successful as his brother was in At Last?

Now up for preorder! Be sure to grab a copy for yourself!

Blurb:
She’s finally found peace. One kiss and it all goes out the window.

Starting over has been tough for Gabi Turner. A new city, a new business, and a new life is enough to scare anyone, but with the help of her best friend, and their burgeoning interior design business, Gabi is starting to heal from her tumultuous divorce. With everything in delicate balance, the last thing she needs is the swaggering, simmering local carpenter to upend it all.

Riding high on the recent success of his furniture business, Mason Adams feels like there isn’t much in the world he can’t do. But when a client’s demands bring Gabi Turner into his shop, everything turns upside down. She’s the only woman that has told him no and he’ll stop at nothing to change her mind.

As Gabi and Mason find themselves working together on a gutted Victorian house, the sparks that fly between them threaten to burn everything to the ground. Can Gabi trust her heart with a man who makes her dream of the future, or will her troubled past keep her from trusting another man?

Keep Your Enemies Close #New_Release

11/19/2020

Picture
Sometimes danger surrounds you, but you would like to hope that your friends have your back. After all, if you can't trust them, who can you trust?

Elsie True can't trust anyone. Her father was murdered by someone who she thought was a friend. Now she's alone and isn't sure who to turn to. When someone new shows up, it's easier to categorize them as a threat... but are they??

A WISP OF FATE is the latest chilling paranormal thriller by Kristy Centeno. It will have you on the edge of your seat as you frantically turn the pages to find out what is really going on! Now available in Ebook and Print, you can pick up a copy for yourself or as a gift for that special someone!

Blurb:
Elsie True lives with only one goal in mind …
… to avenge her father’s death.

Branded a traitor among the brotherhood of the Cause, an organization dedicated to the destruction of all magical creatures, her father was unjustly murdered for falling in love with a celestial being, leaving a teenage Elsie to learn the creature-hunting business with the help of her father’s old friend.

Her life revolves around besting the Cause and keeping the world safe from any creatures that get out of hand. When her mentor signs her up for another case, she jumps at the opportunity to steer business away from the corrupt organization.

Not long into the investigation, she realizes she might have walked right into a setup, including coming face-to-face with a creature she doesn’t know if she should kill or protect.

Elsie feared little in life, but she isn’t prepared to face the demons of her past, especially those hell-bent on killing her. Outwitting her enemies means solving the case, but in a world where she has more foes than friends, who can she trust?

EXCERPT:
The explosion of movement came from the east instead of the north, catching her off guard for just a second before she pulled herself together and pivoted to her left in time to avoid a slice of a bowed knife blade identical to hers. A foggy specter skated past her, solidifying briefly before its insubstantial form broke away into frail tendrils of smoke that disappeared within the next instance.

Wielding the twin daggers like miniature swords, she dashed to the side and stepped back away from the trunk of the tree she’d hidden behind. Getting cornered would hinder her counterassault, and she smelled a trap as surely as she detected the second entity sneaking up on her from the field now positioned to her rear.

A two for one special. Wonderful.

All angles open, she flicked her gaze left and right, looking for precipitous activities of any kind. A glimmer of metal as it caught the light of the moon above was all the warning she got before the first Bedevil shot forward, blades blazing. She pivoted and parried, raising her left arm up to sink her own weapon into the entity’s side all in one quick blur of motion.

The misty specter took the form of its latest victim, that of a girl no more than fourteen or fifteen, and shrieked. Its green eyes stared accusingly at her, as if blaming her for what the creature had done.

Sexy Schoolteachers #New_release #emotional_read

I'm partial to school teacher characters. That's no surprise. As a teacher myself, I can't help but find school teacher stories interesting. Either the author gets it right or they make some big assumptions. Mindy McKinley knows what she is talking about!

AT LAST is an emotional rollercoaster. At some points I laughed and at others, tears filled my eyes. Her writing is both fresh and timeless. Best of all, this is the first in a three book series! So when you fall for her heroes....they come back to visit in the rest of the books! YES!

Now available. Grab your copy today and pull up a comfy chair, settle in and fall in love!

Blurb:
Her whole life, Lula Stanley has wanted one thing—to find her father. When her grandmother’s failing health threatens to leave her with no family at all, the quiet literature teacher will stop at nothing to locate the man her mother tried so hard to hide. With her life in a tailspin, she doesn't have time for anything else, especially romance. But after she catches the eye of the hottest teacher at East High, Lula finds it nearly impossible to focus on her family’s past with such an appealing man in her present.

High School history teacher Dominic Adams can get any woman he wants, and has. But a chance encounter with Lula at a jazz club changes everything. Now, he only wants her, and will do whatever it takes to make her his.

As Dominic and Lula grow closer to each other and to solving her family's mystery, it becomes clear that some things are best left in the past. Will the promise of true love give Dominic and Lula a future, or will the truth of her history tear them apart?

Excerpt:
Lula opened her eyes to find Dom looking at her softly.

“I think you were thinking about a kiss.”

“You do?” she asked weakly. He was wrong; she had been thinking much more than that.

“I do.” He ran his thumb over her bottom lip. “Because I was thinking the same thing.”

Oh God. She had to stifle a whimper. “You were?”

He nodded. “Can I kiss you, Lu?”

She stared at him, trying to convey how much she wanted it without saying so. All she could really do was nod. When she did, he smiled and brought his lips to hers.

The entire room spun, and she felt herself tilt. His lips were soft, demanding,
experienced. He coaxed her mouth open easily and she felt herself moan at the sensuous friction of his tongue against hers.

He slipped his hands up to her neck as he kissed her, and she could feel his desire growing against her hip.

She dug her fingers into his shoulders, marveling at the muscles underneath. She could die here and be happy.

Far, far too early, he pulled away. His eyes were wide and his breath just as shallow as hers. After a moment, he grinned and caressed her cheek again. “Anytime you want a kiss, sweet Lu, all you gotta do is ask.”

She inhaled. “Is that so, Mr. Adams?”

“Are you ever going to call me Dom?”

“Maybe.”

He chuckled and turned to leave. When he got to the door, he turned and told her, “And yes, that is so.”

Do You Love Romantic Comedies? #cover_reveal #Trade_Secrets

11/9/2020

I grew up watching "Bewitched" which is what I based all my knowledge about advertising. Darren worked Larry Tate at the advertising agency- McMann and Tate. Shenanigans ensued, some from Darren's witchy wife but some were the result of his boss, Larry who had an interesting view of women.

VK Tritschler's upcoming release- TRADE SECRETS reminded me of those episodes. Zaniness happens and characters muck things up in an effort to "win" against each other, no matter the cost- even their hearts!

You're going to want to preorder this one! Releasing Dec 10th, it's a book you'll laugh as you read!

Blurb:
What happens when your dream job turns out to be a hot mess?

Emily earned a spot in a top Adelaide advertising agency and was excited to be starting her professional career. But on her very first day she gets coffee spilled on her by Meg, her new and complicated co-worker; runs into Jimmy, her wildly inappropriate boss; and gets stuck in an elevator with Harry, who is the hottest guy in the industry and her company’s biggest competitor.

When Jimmy enlists Emily to spy on Harry and his company, things become more complicated.

But Emily finds that her life isn’t as perfect as she’d dreamed. Now, she has to choose between handsome Harry, who may not be all he seems, and bawdy Jimmy, who is exactly what she fears. Secrets and hidden agendas rip apart Emily’s dreams. Will she pick the devil she knows or the one she doesn't?
