Book Description:
Gabriel Kane lived by one hard and fast rule.
Never mix business with pleasure.
But the moment Rebecca Cole walked back into his life with only business on her mind, he finds himself forgetting about the rules.  Now, he's determined to go after what he's always wanted.

The force of her attraction to Gabriel had been immediate and unwavering from the moment he walked into her life.  Because of her feelings and knowing that Gabriel wasn't the type of man to settle for one woman, she kept her distance from the gorgeous and sexy man over the years.  But now business had drawn them back together, and she can't help but wonder if she could work with him and still keep her heart intact.

Excerpt:
Chapter One

Gabriel Kane leaned against the massive oak desk with his arms crossed in front of his chest, schooling his face, and kept his true reaction to the request he’d heard from breaking through.
Over the last fifteen minutes, Rebecca Cole had laid out her business plan for the addition to her dating service, Liaison, in a precise and detailed way.  But instead of the typical investment opportunity he thought he would hear, her proposal stunned him into silence.  Instead of asking the numerous questions that swirled in his brain, he waited for her to continue.
He watched closely as her eyes wandered to the view behind him, out onto the high-rises of New York City from the floor-to-ceiling windows that surrounded his opulent office on the seventy-second floor in Midtown Manhattan.  He had chosen the building for the intimidation factor.  Most people were afraid of heights and some of his clients made a conscious effort to avoid the windows.  It gave him an advantage even before they uttered a single word.  His decorator had completed the rest of the office in solid woods with sharp angles.
He thought his office would have the same effect on Rebecca.  But apparently the view gave her the strength she needed, and after taking a deep breath, she continued calmly with her pitch.
“The city is inundated with several hundred dating services, including exclusive online businesses, and if I expand into the male escort business on top of my dating service, I will be able to cater to many different clients at once.”
He chose her moment of strength to give up the pretense of keeping his eyes off her.  He took his time as he perused the flattering wrap dress in the color of deep moss that emphasized the curves he had craved for years to touch, and became captivated as the color of the dress brought out the emerald in her eyes, which were fixed on him.
She was an understated beauty.  Her hair was a lovely mix of dark amber and natural blonde highlights.  Her body was classic, with her curves in all the right places and a tapered waist that drew his eyes as she leaned back in the chair in front of his desk, sending up a fragrance that tightened his body with desire he was unprepared for.
The side of her mouth tilted a fraction, as if she knew that he liked what he saw, and the gesture sent heat washing over him.
Practiced in the art of flirting, he gave no outward signs of his curiosity toward the woman he’d known since she was eighteen.  But he had learned early in his life to hide his emotions from everyone around him, including those closest to him.
His parents had strict views on life; never show your hand and always go after what you want, even if it meant some had to be hurt because they weren’t ambitious enough.  Because of his parent’s philosophy, he found himself alone and secluded, albeit successful.
That was, until he’d met Lucian Cole, Rebecca’s older brother.  Their friendship was immediate, and with it came acceptance into a family that was so foreign to him, the first several visits made him uncomfortable.  The level of affection that his family showed to him, and the easy grace in which he was accepted, left him longing.  Well, accepted by everyone except Rebecca.
They’d met in the middle of the night as she snuck back in after being out with friends, and when she opened the kitchen door at four in the morning, she had run straight into him.
Pacing from one corner of the room to the other, unable to sleep in the quiet house and too preoccupied with his thoughts, he didn’t hear anyone until he felt her pressed against him.  Before the automatic apology left his mouth, the smell of lavender drifted over him and her beautiful face tinted with the barest hint of a blush.
The impact rendered him mute.
His hands tightened where he had grasped her upper arms as he tried to get control of his riotous emotions, but she recovered before he had a chance to formulate a sentence.  The flush on her face deepened, and before he could manage a word, she stepped back, out of his arms, and ran up the stairs to her room.

Would You Marry if You Were Strangers at the Altar? #billionaire #romance

5/30/2016

Strangers At the Altar by Lacey Wolfe
A Billionaire Romance Novel

I’m the whole package.
Rich.
Sexy as hell.
Brilliant in bed and business.
Big cock.

So why the hell is it so hard to settle down? I want a woman to see me for who I am, and that’s hard when most only see me with dollar signs in their eyes. So I signed up for some crazy experiment to be married to a stranger. Never knowing a thing about the person.

I was ready for true love. When I married Adeline at the altar, I had to make sure that she didn’t know a thing about me as well. So I did what I thought was best. I lied about who I was.

If we find true love, I’m sure she will forgive me when she learns who I really am.

Adeline’s point of view

“I hope you’re not taking me into the woods to kill me,” I said, half joking. The other part of me wondered how smart it was to be going into the woods with a man I met yesterday.
“Lucky for you, I know just the place to leave you so no one will find you.”
I stopped walking and he turned toward me with a sexy smirk.
“I’m kidding. The experts did a back ground check, remember? No killer.”
I walked up next to him, trying to keep up with his pace, but his legs were longer than mine and it almost felt like I was running to match his stride.
I’d barely touched lunch, but how could I after that kiss. Isaac had taken charge, kissing me in a way I’d always wanted. So intense I felt every desire he had for me. I could sense the anger from our first almost kiss being interrupted. The way he’d held me and his fingers dug into my skin. No man had ever handled me the way he had and I liked it. He’d really turned me on. Hell, I was still turned on. I didn’t want to be on this walk in the woods, I wanted to be naked in bed with him.
“You okay?” he asked.
“Yeah, why?”
He stopped by an old pine tree that had fallen and sat on it, patting next to him. “You sound a little out of breath. Let’s talk.”
“We are.” I sat beside him.
“No, let’s open up and really say how we feel. We got married yesterday and met at the altar. This could be a real bonding experience if we share our emotions. It isn’t like we have anyone else to contact.”
I did have Sarah. Today was her wedding and she was probably going through all the things I was yesterday. Isaac was right though, we only had each other, and the people who had done this on TV, making the big bucks.
“Was my kiss too much?”
Yes, you stole my breath away. “No.”
“Are you sure? I can get intense. I’m passionate and a take control kind of man in that aspect. Well, really all aspects of life. I go after what I want.”
I remembered reading that in his ‘about me’ paragraph. “And you don’t share.”
He chuckled. “That’s right. I don’t.”
“The kiss was good.”
“You’re sure?”
“Yes.” The best I’d ever had.
“Do you want to kiss again?”
I nodded.
He sat straight. “Now?”
I chewed my bottom lip as he took my chin in his hand.
“I’m worried I scare you.”
You do, but not in the way you think. “I don’t scare easy.”
He came toward me and I braced myself for another one of his kisses. This time it was softer, as if he were holding back, but I wanted what he gave me before. That kiss made my toes curl.
“Is that what you want?” he asked.
“No. It was too sweet.”
He tugged me into his lap so I straddled him. This time he cupped my face in his palms and kissed me hard again. The way I wanted. No, the way I needed. Holy shit, I almost stopped breathing. His erection pressed into me and I ground against it, making sure to rub just the spot I needed. He met me with his thrust. I couldn’t believe what we were doing on top of the fallen tree, but I couldn’t stop. Anyone could happen upon us and see us dry humping, but I didn’t care. I needed to release. I needed him to release.
“Holy shit!” Isaac broke the kiss and stilled me.
“What’s wrong?”
He lifted me off of him and got up, moving away from me. Had I done something wrong? He adjusted his shorts then bent over, taking deep breath.
“Isaac?” I stood.
He glanced at me, his eyes dark. “Stay over there.”
My cheeks burned, almost as if they were on fire. I’d made a fool of myself. I walked away, but he called my name and jogged up to me.
“Where are you going?”
My eyes were wet but I tried to hide it from him. “Away.”
“Don’t. Let’s finish our walk. Come on.”
“I’m really not in the mood to walk anymore.”

He brushed his fingers across my cheeks. “You did nothing wrong. In fact, you did so good I almost lost control.”

I Don't Fit The Mold... #depression

5/28/2016

Picture
I usually talk about books on this blog but I had to share something with you. Recently I read an article which had me thinking. Many people don't realize the issues others deal with. They have a perceived notion about a person. I want to set the record straight. This post isn't to get sympathy  or for people to feel sorry for me. If what I say helps one person, then I know I've done my part.

When we see someone who is depressed or with anxiety, we think of someone who is always crying, unkempt appearance, or unable to function. That isn't me.

I was diagnosed with depression as an adult, but I've had it all my life, although no one would have guessed.

Depression was not talked about. If you said you were feeling down, someone would tell you to go do something else and you'd feel better. Seeing a shrink was tantamount to being crazy.  I once saw a counselor in high school because my parents thought I was crazy to want to see my boyfriend even though they didn't want me to. Yet, I appeared to be normal. In high school, I was a straight A student, had many friends, and appeared to be outgoing and happy. But I was hiding a big secret.

This article is what prompted me to share my own insights with you today. You can check it out here: http://themighty.com/2016/05/high-functioning-depression-we-cant-overlook-the-overachievers/

Labeled as gifted in middle school, school was easy. Academics never bothered me but relationships stunk. I worried a great deal about what others thought and had a negative self image, no matter how good I was at something. As the oldest of five girls, my mom said I was like the little mom, always worried about everyone else and had an old soul.

Everyone who saw me, only saw what I wanted people to see. Even my own family never saw it.

I was cutting and hurting myself because physical pain was easier to deal with than the emotional pain. When things were really bad, I would pop whatever pills I could find and go sleep things off. Big events or problems would result in the downward spiral where I would end up wishing that I was dead. Stress, especially regarding relationships was a trigger.

Finally, I was diagnosed by my family doctor after the death of my grandmother. It had been one thing after another...her death, a health scare, a messy marriage. The medicine helped. The cutting stopped. The need for the physical pain stopped.

Picture
Am I normal now? No, but the need to hurt myself has diminished. I still have bad days but I've learned some coping mechanisms to help.

Over the years, the meds have changed and I've seen a counselor when the rough patches hit but still no one who knows me, has seen the "real" me (except for my husband).

My new meds don't have the highs that I used to have but that also helps with the lows. Yet, I get the added stress of "you don't smile enough" or "you don't seem happy". Let's add to the stress, okay, people?? I want to say, at least I'm able to smile and handle the stress.

I don't fit the mold of what a person with mental illness looks like. But I am.

Philip Hoy

Contemporary/Romance/Suspense/Interracial (paranormal elements)

The rumor at school is that after the varsity quarterback broke her heart, Evelyn
Hernandez broke his hand. Then she demolished his car, beat up his girlfriend, and smashed all the windows in his house—or so the story goes. Some say that under the long hair and blunt cut bangs, beneath the cute dresses and colorful tights, and behind the pretty face and big brown eyes … hides a black-hearted, spell-casting, evil witch.
Only Evelyn doesn’t care what people at school say, or think. She couldn’t be happier. Her bullies have been brought to justice, her parents trust her, and she has a boyfriend who adores her. She’s even returned to drawing in her journal … but that’s when the nightmares begin.

Evelyn believes her violent dreams are messages from the future. Something terrible is going to happen at her school and only she can stop it—but how, and at what price?

16+ due to sexuality, language, and adult situations

Excerpt:
“I’ll be right back,” Karen said over her shoulder as she stepped out into the cold night. She set the bulging bag of trash down long enough to close the door behind her and then hefted it again in both hands and began walking awkwardly with it down the stairs. Her sandals slapped loudly against the bottoms of her feet and the unwelcome odor of chicken bones and baby diapers wafted upwards with each waddling step.
At the bottom of the stairs, she stopped and looked around self-consciously, but the apartment complex was strangely quiet this late in the evening, with most of the windows around her already dark and not another person in sight. She tightened her grip on the neck of the garbage bag and started walking again. The dumpsters were just around the back of her building at the end of the parking lot, but in the dim light of the yellow security lamps they looked much farther. It was colder outside than she expected and Karen regretted not putting on a sweater before leaving the apartment.
A brick wall surrounded the trash bins with large metal gates in the front that were kept locked, but there was a smaller walk-in opening around the back. What if someone was in there, she thought, or something … doing who knows what? Rather than step a foot inside, Karen was tempted to just heave the bag over the wall and hope the lids were up. But the thought of her nephew’s shitty diapers strewn across the parking lot, along with the junk mail and old homework with her name on it, stopped her, and she took a breath and walked inside.
She was relieved to find the lid on the nearest bin was already thrown back, which meant she wouldn’t have to touch anything. She lifted with one hand at the top and the other pushing from below until the weight of the bag rested on the dumpster’s edge, then she pushed it over and let it fall with a muffled splat.
When she turned to leave, a figure was standing in the opening, blocking her way.
“Who’s there?” she shouted, taking a step back.
“Hey, hey,” the figure quickly reassured, slowly moving forward and lowering his raspy voice as he spoke. “Don’t be ascared, girl. We’re not gonna hurt you.”
“Spider?” Karen recognized his bug-eyed, boney face, but she hadn’t seen him at school in over a year. She heard he was locked up.
“Orale!” he said, looking back. “See, Creeper? I told you this heina was down.”
A second figure stepped out of the shadows behind Spider, filling the entryway and smiling nervously at Karen.
“Hey, Creeper,” Karen said, smiling and suddenly walking past Spider toward him. “Why you up so late?” she asked, as if they were old friends. “Don’t you have homework or something?”
Most likely confused by the friendliness of her greeting, he shuffled back a step, clearing the doorway just as Karen hoped he would, and she bolted for the opening.
Spider was faster and grabbed her from behind. She tried to scream, but his hand was already covering her mouth.

Have You Ever Been Starstruck? #AlyseMiller #newrelease

5/22/2016

We have each had a crush on a television or movie star. We've dreamed of being Mrs. Pitt or Mrs. Afleck and wondered what it'd be like walking the red carpet with our main squeeze. In Untangling the Stars, college professor, Andie finds out that falling in love with a star is much harder than she anticipated. And love certainly wasn't what she was looking for.

Picture
When Hollywood-critic Andie Foxglove and rising star Guy Wilder become entangled in a torrid romance, they quickly find themselves caught in the spotlight – and it’s none too welcoming.

Andie doesn’t believe happily-ever-afters exist in the real world, and when she finds herself caught between two opposing forces – her integrity and the entertainment industry – she doesn’t she has a choice but to do the right thing: end their romance before she ruins his career, and hers.

Determined to beat the odds, Hollywood’s favorite preternatural lady killer will have to beat his own demons – and the odds – to convince her that, contrary to her academic opinion, sometimes stars can be untangled.

Even a bad romance can have a happy ending.

EXCERPT:

His words didn't register with Andie’s already made up mind. “What?”

“You don’t understand, Andie. Outside of this room, it isn’t just you and me anymore. It’s everyone—it’s the whole world—and every one of them will be looking at us and judging us—you.”

“I’m a big girl, Guy. I think I can handle it.”

“You don’t even know what you’re saying. You have no idea what it’s like to be hounded by fans, chased by the paparazzi, blinded with camera lights. It sucks. I don’t want to put you through that.”

She should have been relieved, but Andie was the type of woman who, when someone lit her fuse, they were better off just letting it burn off than try to snuff it out. All she managed to hear was that she wasn’t someone worth being caught by the paparazzi with—or worse, that he didn’t want to disappoint his female fans by having a less-than-supermodel perfect girl on his arm (okay, that one was probably her own insecurity screaming out).

“If you didn’t want to take me out, then why did you even ask me here? I don’t get it.”

“To get to know you. Isn’t that what you do on a date?”

“To ‘get to know me’ in your hotel room? That sounds a lot like playing a game to get a girl alone in your fancy hotel room and take her to bed. What kind of girl do you think I am?”

“You’re twisting my words around, Andie. I’m trying to protect you.”

Andie couldn’t hide her disdain. She didn’t need or want anyone to protect her, much less some jerk with an over-inflated ego. “Sounds like you’re trying to protect yourself.” She made sarcastic air quotes around “protect.” “I didn’t come here to Netflix and chill, Mr. Wilder.”

Guy’s handsome face twisted into a scowl. His fist hit the edge of the couch and he ripped the tie from his neck and whipped it on the couch. He stalked toward her. There was no grace in his walk this time, no hint of seduction. He simply stepped directly in front of her, glaring down. The yellow in his eyes was ignited in fiery ring, his lips pursed and angry. Andie automatically took a step backward, then recanted and stood her ground. Fine, they were both angry. It was better than playing games. Bring it on, vampire boy.

I'm in Love with Melissa Kendall's Books! #review

5/21/2016

Picture
I am fortunate to have found Melissa Kendall's books a few years ago. Yes, I am a 1NS junkie. I have read almost all of them and love the quick read with a guaranteed Happily Ever After and mind blowing romance. Learning Curve drew me in with it's blurb. Who hasn't second guessed what someone saw in them? Who hasn't worried that they weren't good enough? No hands up I see! But here's your own chance....

Blurb:
Madame Eve may have helped them find one another. But meshing their two worlds together isn't easy.

When Dean is nominated for an Emmy, he is so excited he invites Sally to be his date for the evening. Sally is reluctant at first, but eventually agrees. Petrified the world media will make fun of her for being the fat chick on Dean's arm, she works her butt off to lose weight before the big event.

Can Dean and Sally learn to make life together work? Or will the reality of the differences in their lives be too difficult to overcome?

                                                                          ********

My Review--Sally and Dean have fallen in love thanks to Madame Eve but Sally still feels that she's not good enough because she's a full-figured woman in the plastic world of Hollywood. I could identify with Sally, both as a teacher and as a woman who never feels good enough. I still don't know why my husband loves me. I don't see what he sees.

Ms. Kendall draws the reader into the story. We have all had a crush on a TV star and would have loved to be with them in public sharing in their limelight but reality is much harder than we think. Dean is a doll, a superstar who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to get it! I love this couple and hope we get to see more of them!

15: Jacquie Biggar, Summer Lovin’ – Can two mismatched lovers find a way past their mistakes, or will they keep their lonely hearts forever guarded?

SANDS OF SEDUCTION

She took a deep breath; was there ever a good time? She must do it; accept it, not hide away anymore. Right now she needed a roof over her head and a job far away from the taunts and stares.

Clary heard the letterbox of the front door, snap shut. The post, it was never ending; every day she gathered up over half a dozen envelopes and yet more leaflets, more dead trees. As she slammed the spam into the recycle bin, a glossy photo caught her eye. Her heart leapt, just what she was looking for; a cottage for sale in a picturesque hamlet, nestling at the foot of a forest in the South Downs. It was half way across the country, but the further the better. She frowned reading the message, maybe it was just a general advert, but it seemed personal.

Delighted you are reading this. I invite you to make an appointment as soon as possible. Your dream cottage by the sea is waiting for you; within easy reach of Brighton and London.

Phone or email Cecil Partridge now, don’t hesitate.

After pouring a fresh cup of coffee, she picked up the leaflet, taking it to the small dining room, serving as an office. Sitting at the PC, she bent to stroke the head of her white retriever, gazing up at her with those brown soulful eyes. ‘Would you like to live by the beach? Run on the sands, swim in the sea?’

Lila raised her head, with a huge smile, a pink tongue lolling out of her black lips. ‘Yes you would wouldn’t you. Okay – let’s do it. Right now.’ Clary googled ‘MoveNow’, the best website for buying and selling houses or apartments. She tried to swallow the hurt; it seemed so strange searching for property without Theo by her side. It was impossible to ban the memories, the grief. Clenching her teeth, she rubbed away the tears stinging her eyes; dread welled up. Fight it Clary, fight it. Her chest tightened, as she forced herself to search the list of properties for sale. After only a few seconds of scrolling along, she recognized the hamlet. There was more information on the list; it was near a medieval market town with an ancient castle. The tiny village was a picture postcard, composed of cottages either side of a cobbled street, with a village store. The price was low and within her range. It was all she needed or wanted.

THE GEEK GETS THE GIRL

According to the wrinkled strip of paper taped over the original brass placard on the office door, Rachel Parker was the manager of the Paris Haute Heels office. Zac assumed Miss Parker was the woman who strode down the parquet-floored aisle between cubicles with the air of a confident runway model, red heels clicking smartly. Not even the weight of the office supplies she carried could lower her proud jaw. Juggling a coffee cup in one hand, file folders, binders, purse and briefcase in the crook of an elbow—not to mention a mouthful of pink phone messages—she shrugged by Zac where he stood in the doorway to her office, and lunged toward the glass-topped desk to release her burden.

The sleek bend of her body sprawling over the desktop begged attention. A clingy, dark blue dress hugged her from shoulders to mid-thigh, and he visually caressed the taut curve of her ass. Hmm, what did the French call it? Derriere. Nice. And when in France… His fingers cruised an imaginary stroll over the dangerous curves. Shifting into high gear, he hugged the corner and stepped on the accelerator, moving down around her thigh. Breathy pants encouraged his actions until--

Those breathy pants ceased, and the woman whose curves he’d just mastered in a matter of three fantasy seconds stood staring at him, green eyes narrowed in stern summation.

Conjuring a save to cover the distraction that had almost netted him the yellow flag, he tapped the paper taped over the door’s nameplate. “Snazzy décor you’ve got here, Miss Parker.”

“Cutbacks. Tightening the proverbial office belt. It works for me.” Long coils of chestnut hair danced over the spill of office ephemera as she nestled the paper coffee cup into a nook amidst the scatter. “And you have finally arrived.”

She caught his surprise and reacted, propping a manicured hand on her hip. “Seriously? How long does it take for IT to process a call for help? I know all eight private offices in this building share one tech department, but you must have more than one guy to handle service calls.”

“IT?” Nowadays, he generally put his fingers on sales figures, outlook charts, and the butter-soft leather in the company jet. Zachary Cosgrove had moved up from humble IT guy. Way up. “Oh, you assume—”

My heart pounded as my white ceiling greeted me when I opened my eyes.
I blinked frantically, the vision of the rock hitting me still fresh in my mind, the instantaneous crushing sensation throughout my body fading to a dull, residual mental ache. Fear crashed and faded in a wave of relief when it all resolved into the deep blackness of my dorm room.
That had been one hell of a dream.
I narrowed my eyes, still staring up at the ceiling. My dorm ceiling was gray, not white.
I sat up and turned to the left expecting the glaring green glow of my digital clock. Instead, I was greeted with the dim shape of a dresser, outlined in the rosy hue of a rising sun.
My pink and white dresser at my parent’s house.
Shock spread through me, sending tingles down to my toes. My bedroom was coming into view, not my dorm room.
A stuffed dog sat at the foot of my bed. Instead of the giant glass window over the football field, my lace pink curtains fluttered in a warm California breeze, a copy of Teen Vogue sitting on the sill.
I rolled over and stood, grabbing the magazine. Justin Bieber smiled at me from the October 2010 cover.
Impossible. This was impossible.
“Elsie!” I shouted my roommate’s name. The magazine hit the floor with a ruffle of pages. The plush, carpeted floor, not the hard tiles of my room at college.
My comfy bed, complete with a feather mattress, took up the same side of the room it always had. My computer desk sat at the far side of the bed, the blocky Dell PC taking up most of the space. A life sciences textbook lay next to it, the image of a tiger on the front coming into focus as my eyes adjusted to the darkness. On the floor, my giant shoulder bag from high school lay with papers strewn around it. I took a step closer, peering at the letters, my heart pounding so hard I didn’t think to turn on the light.
High school biology notes. I had taken biology in my junior year.
I fled, my door banging against the wall as I ran to the bathroom, flicking on the light.
Elsie wasn’t here. I stared into the mirror of my parent’s bathroom, at my frizzy brown hair. I didn’t look so different. A little bit shorter, a little bit ganglier. No freshmen fifteen. I still had that annoying pattern of three pimples that kept coming back on my chin.
But I was still younger. Not eighteen, not a college student.
A girl in high school. High school. Again.
I stared in shock. This couldn’t be true. It must still be part of the dream, part of the green sky and rocks hitting me. I blinked hard, touching my nightgown, pinching my arm until I winced with pain.
“Mom!” I shrieked so loud I thought the mirror would shatter. “Mom, Mom, Mom!”
My mother came rushing in, her robe pulled tightly around her. “Raquel, what is it?” Her hair framed her face in an unruly brown cloud, her eyes wide and face pale. “What’s wrong?” She was as scared as I was.
“What happened?” I shouted as I grabbed her. “What happened?”
“What do you mean?” She pulled me out of the hug, looking into my eyes. “Raquel, what is wrong? Are you sick?”
In the glaring bathroom light, I stared into her wide eyes. She stared back at me, full of concern, full of worry for her daughter.
“The…I died. There were birds dying, and a rock hit me, and I should be in college…” I babbled, and she shook her head, gripping me tight.
“Raquel, it was a nightmare. That’s all.”
“What’s going on?” My dad’s voice shouted from the dark hallway.
“Nothing, dear,” my mother shouted back. “Raquel just had a little night terror.”
“At sixteen?” Disbelief and exhaustion edged his voice. “Go to sleep, Raquel,” he added, mumbling.
My heart pounded harder, even as I shut my mouth, looking back into the mirror. The mirror in my parent’s house, where a sixteen-year-old me stared back. My stomach flipped, then sank into my feet.
I was two years younger. The world was two years younger.
And no one else remembered anything.

Coffee, Tea, or Kisses on an Airplane! #newrelease #InkSpellPub

5/14/2016

About ten years ago, I had a friend who lived in England, Dave and I talked every day! He was my confidant and shoulder to cry on. Was it because he was a great guy? Yes, but more because of his accent. There is something wonderful about a guy with an accent. They can read me the ingredients on a box of cereal and I'd fall for them.... Theo from Kisses on a Paper Airplane isn't just an ordinary boy...He's a pop star and perfect for Hannah's first kiss.
Picture
Drama student Hannah Evans isn't kissing any frogs on her path to find Prince Charming. She's determined to share the perfect first kiss -- with the perfect boy -- in the perfect place -- or she's not kissing at all. When Hannah meets a cute ginger-haired boy in first class lounge in the London airport, she knows he's 'The One.'

Pop star Theo Callahan is on the road to get as far away as possible from his back-stabbing best friend, and his supermodel girlfriend who broke his heart. Until one shy smile from Hannah has him rethinking all of his travel plans.

Theo is smitten, but he's worried she's just a groupie in search of the ultimate selfie. Can Theo learn to trust Hannah in time to share one perfect first kiss, or will Hannah be forced to kiss a frog?

Excerpt:
He wasn’t much older than me. His ginger-colored hair was alive in an unkempt manner that made him look both stylish and scruffy. He wore a battered leather jacket and skinny jeans. His kicks were a pair of powder blue Nike Air Pythons that perfectly matched the color of his eyes. And seriously, I would’ve sworn his eyes were Photoshopped, except there he was, live and in person right in front of me.

He smiled. His cheeks dimpled and the corners of his eyes wrinkled, and it took my breath away. A warm feeling started in my toes, moved up over my knees and into my torso, causing my stomach to do a double-twisting Yurchenko off the pommel horse and stick the landing.

OMG! This is the boy. The one I’d been waiting for.

I wanted to kiss this boy.

Julia teased me relentlessly but the truth was I’d never kissed a boy.

Ever.

I had never had the “feels” before, but I knew I had found The One. The boy I wanted to share my perfect, first kiss.

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to tell him before I dropped to the floor. Unconscious.
