First Love? Forever Love? #New_Release #Persuading_Lucy

1/28/2018

Who was your first love? Mine was someone I knew all my life. He was my best friend growing up and ended up being someone I hung out with through high school, when he moved away. In Tammy Mannersly's latest release, Lucy has walked away from her first love but when he comes back into her life....will she take a second chance?
Picture
You can’t hide from destiny….

Callum Hawthorne is one of those lucky guys who seem to have it all. He’s a wealthy property tycoon, the CEO of his family’s company. He’s handsome, intelligent and charming and has a gorgeous new woman on his arm every week. But there’s one thing still missing – the love of his life, Lucy Spencer.

Fourteen long years ago, Lucy left for college and cut off all contact with Cal, leaving their mutual friend Madison as his only connection. That was until in his effort to save his deceased father’s beloved Gold Coast property, The Calypso, Cal contacts Insight Marketing, the best advertising firm in Melbourne, and discovers his Lucy among the team.

Successful marketing executive, Lucy Spencer had managed to avoid her ex-best friend for nearly half their lives. Fearful of trusting him, loving him and having her heart broken all over again, Lucy tries to keep her distance from him, but discovers that there is a fine line between love and hate, and maybe – just maybe – Cal could be her inescapable destiny.

EXCERPT
Cal was flabbergasted. What had happened? What had he missed?

Then, distracted by her outburst, he made another mistake and his grip on Lucy’s wrist loosened slightly. As if sensing his lapse in control, she used the whole weight of her small frame to jerk herself free of his hold and with a triumphant sigh she began to back away.

“So, you orchestrated this together, did you? What, did you seduce Maddy too? Why can’t you just leave me alone?”

Cal’s gaze narrowed with concern. “What are you talking about, Luce?”

Worried that she’d run before he had a chance to explain, Cal reached out and took a step toward her. But, Lucy immediately backed farther away, taking two steps for his single stride.

“What did you give her to make her finally tell you where I was?”

Her fiery glare was enough to make his fingers ache to touch her, to soothe her. He hated seeing her in so much distress.

“Nothing.” His voice was calm, pacifying. “She didn’t tell me.”

Lucy frowned and her gaze dropped from his, confusion clearly clouding her expression.

“But I—” She shook her head with irritation and glanced back up at him. “But how did you know that I’d be here?”

Cal smiled as he remembered the moment of pure serendipity, the second he’d seen her gorgeous face on the team’s profile page on the Insight Marketing website. Executive Manager Lucy S., it had read. Cal had tried searching the internet for her before, but to no avail. There had always been too many Lucy Spencers and he’d been convinced that she must have altered her name. Yet, this time he’d found her, so simply found her, as though the universe had finally pointed her out to him.

“Fate,” he said confidently.

Series Blurb:

South Florida just got a helluva lot steamier… During the day, the staff at Wicked Brand makes ink dreams a reality for their appreciative clients. After hours, this naughty crew engages in sensual delights as wild as the designs they’re selling. Their motto? Nothing forbidden. Nothing held back.

Wicked Times Two Blurb:

She’s through with love and just wants to have some wicked fun...

Burned by her cheating boyfriend, Jasmina is finished with the idea of forever after with any guy. That fairy tale doesn’t exist—at least not for her. From now on, protecting her heart and letting pleasure rule is her motto.

Lucky for her, she has the perfect men in mind. Noah and Kyle, two of the hottest cops in West Palm Beach. She hasn’t been able to get them out of her head since they handled an altercation at Wicked Brand, the tattoo parlor she manages. When they come back to get inked, sparks fly.

Noah’s ready to play, and Kyle’s on board. All they want is her—submission, bondage, spanking…no strings or regrets. Seductive days roll into steamy nights, igniting feelings the guys hadn’t expected and Jasmina can’t deny.

What began as a sensual adventure could turn into so much more…if Jasmina can risk a different kind of love.

EXCERPT:
A threesome. Exactly what Jasmina Reyes needed to get out of her dating funk and move on with her life. Who better to get her juices flowing than Noah Guzman and Kyle Loring? The poster boys for badass who stepped out of her fantasies and were now approaching Wicked Brand.

Her pulse ticked up. She leaned against the counter and zeroed in on them like a lust-seeking missile.

Both men were in their early thirties and seriously tall. Six-three if they were an inch. They’d ditched their uniforms for tees and jeans. Their shoulders were broad, hips narrow, their muscular thighs and arms the stuff that generated female wet dreams. They were also West Palm Beach cops, alpha to the core, authoritative and assured. The freaking jackpot.

Kyle and Noah stopped outside the parlor display window.

Jasmina’s belly fluttered. She pushed to her toes and craned her neck to see better. Thankfully, no artist inked a client in the front chair, so she had a decent view of the city’s finest officers.

Wind tousled Kyle’s honey-blond hair, short on the sides and back, longer on top. The thick locks grazed his surprisingly dark eyebrows. Sooty lashes framed his hazel eyes. His bronze complexion made him seem golden, his masculine features sexy as hell.

She held her breath to avoid whimpering in delight.

At his side, Noah was pure sin, almost too handsome to be real. His greenish-gray eyes were intense and somewhat brooding, his olive-toned skin darkened by days in the sun, his wavy black hair long enough to invite a woman to run her fingers through the tresses as she captured his mouth with hers.

Heat poured through Jasmina, weakening her.

If forced to choose between them, she’d plead for both. Each man radiated danger, the kind only a bad boy could project, yet they also afforded protection, treating a woman with respect. They’d done so with Marnie when her ex-boyfriend had attacked her outside the parlor last year. Rather than treat her like a helpless victim or, worse, an instigator in the assault, they’d spoken to her gently. They’d also ignored cop protocol and allowed her to postpone her witness statement so she could attend to her bruised face.

Jasmina sensed they’d be just as considerate in bed, giving rather than merely taking, no matter how wild things got.

Warmth and curiosity rolled through her as to why they were in Northwood Village. The touristy enclave in West Palm Beach didn’t seem like a place they’d frequent on a day off. She pictured them at the beach or a sports bar, possibly a gym where they worked on their pecs and abs, sweat glistening, muscles bunching, veins bulging as they eyed the ladies.

Unless they were here to get a tat.

Their profiles were to her, their attention on someone down the street. Noah inclined his head in greeting to whoever it was, followed by Kyle, their smiles pleasant and welcoming.

Tor, an ink artist here and also Marnie’s boyfriend, joined them. Jasmina bit her lip. She hoped this visit wasn’t about Marnie’s ex getting bail because of a savvy defense attorney. Please, not that. Ethan hadn’t only assaulted her and threatened her life, but he’d attacked Noah and Kyle when they’d intervened. That stupid move was supposed to keep him behind bars for a long time while he faced numerous charges plus a trial.

The guys shook hands and spoke. Tor smiled wide enough to produce his signature dimples.
Knowing him, he wouldn’t be doing that if Kyle and Noah had delivered bad news.

She relaxed. Sort of.

They chatted further, their voices too low for her to capture over the peppy Cuban music that played loudly in here. Maybe she should go outside, see what was up, and say hi. Casually, though, despite her pounding heart and the perspiration rolling down her spine.

The last time she’d seen Kyle and Noah was at Lauren’s wedding months ago. They’d been with dates then. According to Lauren, those relationships were casual, not serious. However, things might have changed…maybe.

During the reception, Kyle and Noah snuck peeks at her while their dates mingled. Kyle couldn’t have been more serene as his date flirted with other guys, his face placid. Carefree seemed to be in his nature. Noah was equally composed but in a self-assured way, like few things ruffled him. Probably good traits to have in their line of work.

Even with an opportunity to make her move on them, Jasmina had held back. She knew what it was like to be cheated on. Casual or not, she would never horn in on someone else’s relationship and hurt another person like she’d been wounded by Brad.

The guys’ smiles faded as Tor continued to talk.

Noah looked over, directly at her, and trapped her with his intent gaze.

She stilled, unable to smile or pull in a breath, lost in his attention.

Tor glanced at her.

That wasn’t as pleasant as Noah’s look and didn’t seem accidental.

What did you say to them?

Noah’s face gave nothing away, his behavior typical cop. Assertive. Assured. Irresistible.

Her legs turned watery. Fierce need overwhelmed her. She craved to be in his arms, their mouths joined, his size and weight confining her.

Kyle glanced at her, too, dismay in his eyes.

What is going on?

Addiction is Dangerous #12_Step #cover_reveal

1/21/2018

A gaming addiction is the latest addiction to be listed with the American Psychological Association. It joins sex, food, alcohol, cigarettes, shopping, gambling, and drug use as a lifestyle choice which people can't seem to stop once they get started. We know some families have a pre-determination for it, while others develop an addiction based on other criteria.

Liz Ashlee's latest pre-order tells the tale of a recovering alcoholic who is working his way through the twelve step program when he finds the one woman he most needs. But will she become just another step in his recovery or his whole reason for living?
Picture
Step One: We admitted we were powerless over alcohol-that our lives had become unmanageable.

There are twelve steps in Alcoholics Anonymous and Silas Manning knows all of them by heart. He's been living them since a drunk driving accident resulted in the destruction of three lives. When he meets Rooney Oliver, he quickly realizes you can be addicted to things other than alcohol—you can be addicted to people, too.

Rooney's mother is dying and Rooney feels like she's dying with her. It’s not until Silas comes into their lives that any of them start feeling hope—but Silas isn’t ready to let go of the past or open himself up to a future.

Can Ben and Gemma Survive? Or Will One Phone Call Ruin It All? #new_release

1/14/2018

For many of us, all it takes is a simple incident to change the pattern of our lives. One misstep or one problem and we have gone in a different direction. Ben and Gemma were happy and in love when one phone call sends their relationship into a spin.
Picture
Even the best of us fall.

One phone call was all it took to disrupt the happiness Gemma Michaels had come to know. Instead of basking in the glow of her newfound romance with Ben, Gemma is forced to watch as her mother fights to overcome her grief, while struggling to deal with her own. When all hope seems lost, Gemma Michaels will find a way to move past her grief and allow herself to be happy.

In the end, love is all that matters.

Excerpt
“You’re talking as though there’s something to fix,” I said. “Gems, I don’t need to fix you, nor do I want to fix you. The broken-hearted girl I’d eased to sleep after her brother passed wasn’t just some project I’d set out to fix. She was the girl I loved, the one I just wanted to see smile again, once the storm passed. She was the girl I promised to take care of, not out of pity, but out of love.

“No matter what happens, I want to be there for you,” I continued. “For all of it—the good, the bad, the ugly. I don’t give a shit what it is, but I want to be there, right next to you. What-ifs are just that, Gems, possibilities. They’re not guarantees.”

For a few moments, we sat there on her bed in silence.

While I could sense she had settled down, I knew the conversation was far from over. It would take some time before she would be willing to let go of her fears, and I completely understood why she’d taken to closing herself off when things became difficult. It was easier to think of all the terrible things that could happen and shut down, rather than to face the grief you’d barely overcome the first time around.

But if there was one thing I had plenty of, it was patience.

Excerpt
John turned his attention back to the girl. Her dark hair was wild and matted. In the center of the mats was dried caked blood. No doubt from the stones the townspeople threw.
The girl spoke rapidly in a shrill voice, declaring she was “bad, evil, the devil’s whore, and to go away, go away, go away.”
He suspected the voice was not hers but a mimic of the people who had said these cruel words. Suddenly, her voice dropped lower in a mimic of a man and she quoted dark bible passages about casting out demons.
Dear God, was it possible these were her parents’ words?
“Tell me the name, tell me the name, damn you!” the voice bellowed.
Finally, he heard the girl’s own voice. The pain and misery it held tore at his old battle-weary heart.
“There is no name,” she cried. “There was no man. Only a dream while I rested on the banks.”
“Then it’s the seed of Satan and it’ll not be raised in my house!” her voice deepened and bellowed
Inside the bundle of cloth, she held tight to her chest, a baby’s wail rose, almost as if in protest to her words. The baby’s cry startled her and for one terrible moment, John feared she would toss the child over the edge.
Then her madness dissipated, and she transformed into a young mother fretting over her new child, soothing it with soft words, as she sat down upon the ground. She opened her filthy torn blouse and placed the baby upon her right breast, rocking the child softly while it nursed. Her face held love and adoration for her helpless infant.
John knew he must save this young girl and her baby. She was not yet lost to madness.

Ms. O'Connor tells the tale of an extraordinary girl who has the power to heal with her hands and the power to change lives with her heart.

Amy grew up lost and alone after the death of her mother. Small minded people didn't understand the little girl. Instead they punished her for things outside of her control. But their anger and hate only turned her into a wonderful person. It takes extraordinary pressure and heat to make diamonds.

I loved how Ms. O'Connor gives us a child who loves no matter what else has come her way. Amy serves as an inspiration for so many of us who have faced tough times. I can't wait to hear more about Amy and her life!
