A Series Concludes...#Never_Fear_The_Reaper #Cover_Reveal

4/23/2018

Picture
As a series ends, I often feel sad. Sad to leave characters I've come to love and sad to leave the story. When you find a series you love, you devour the books, reading them non-stop. You wait anxiously until the next book comes out.

Never Fear the Reaper is one such book!

Now we find out how Ryder handles finding love and if she can save Chase or will Carlsten come between the lovers??

Blurb:
She’s been to the other side and back again . . . But she’s never met anyone like him.

He can see things no one else can . . . But he only sees her.

From the moment he witnessed her do the impossible . . . he was obsessed. But he's not the only one.

Thankfully, Carlsten is man enough to put his feelings aside in order to secure a friendship and partnership with Ryder and Chase. Because it is going to take all three of them to take down the Fallen and the Reaper.

Ryder's extraordinary abilities and scythe are no match for true love. Chase's six sense and dagger, in no way, prepared him for this. Carlsten's expertise and impeccable aim may not be enough to take down the most powerful creature on Earth. It will take a miracle, and possibly the ultimate sacrifice.

Will it end where it all began?

In a world filled with darkness . . . can true love spark just enough light to save it?

About the Author:
Ashley Pagano has always dreamed of being an artist both figuratively and literally. Her love of art was instilled by her mother who always inspired her to be creative either with a paintbrush or with a pen and paper. As far back as she can remember her life was always centered around introspection, storytelling, and imagination. Because she is so artistic, she took to the idea of creative writing very passionately. Her ability to describe a scene, person, or place, she compares to painting a picture, where she can describe every detail vividly in order to make the reader feel like they’re truly living in the story. Her works of writing usually center around a powerhouse female protagonist (which reflect her own personality), who progresses through many wild and extreme obstacles. Ashley loves to write stories that end with a cliffhanger, that have the reader begging for more and questioning what happens next. Her most recent novel sets the stage for the paranormal romance of the century and includes ghosts, poltergeists, and demons who just love to get in the way of true love. Ashley has won awards for her design, art, and writing.

Ashley doesn’t believe in down time whatsoever and actually loves having a full “To-Do” list. Ashley is a wife to her wonderful husband, Eric and a mother to a beautiful baby girl named Dakota. She is also a Graphic Designer and a health and fitness coach. Her husband and daughter inspire her to be the best person she can be and encourage her to pursue any of her dreams (no matter how extravagant they may be).

EXCERPT:
Jae kneeled in front of me and took my hands in his. “You don’t use your powers often, do you?”

“No.” I’d just found out I had them. “Why?” I raised my gaze to his face, expectantly.

“As Enchanters, we’re built to destroy evil. When we fail to hunt, and destroy our enemies, our inner clock gets out of whack and this is the aftermath.”

Confused, I gaped at him. “I have no idea what you just said.”

“It’s a little something we call blue fever. It happens when we accumulate too much power. You can stop it by channeling into your inner Enchantress.”

“I used my powers not too long ago,” I argued.

He nodded. “Not in the way you intended, did you?”

“What difference does it make?”

“A lot.”

“Tell me how to stop it,” I requested, annoyed that he knew my faults even if I hadn’t admitted to them.

“Do you hunt?” he prodded.

“No. I had no need to,” I lied. Well, more like fibbed. I wasn’t withholding the truth, just not fully explaining myself. Now wasn’t the place or time for that. “How do I…?” Panicked, I watched as the first strands of the bluish flames emerged from the tips of my fingers. “No.”

If I broke out in flames, not only would our victim spot us, but the entire ecosystem around me would be in jeopardy, thanks to my inability to function the way I was built to.

“How do I stop it?” I asked him in desperation.

In response, Jae helped me to my feet, pressed me against the tree’s trunk behind me, framed my face between his palms, and crushed his full lips to mine.

The Quarterback Everyone Loved... #cover_reveal #SM_Soto

4/8/2018

Picture
Growing up the most popular people in my high school were the jocks. The football stars and cheerleaders were the people everyone wanted to be or wanted to date. Luckily, many of them were really nice people and not the bullies portrayed in movies.

While I wasn't a cheerleader or jock, I had friends among the group. They treated me as a friend and I love that SM Soto's story has an opposites attract storyline-the geek and the jock. Her book drew me back in time to high school when I dreamed of attracting the football player's eye!

BLURB:
Luke Caldwell has three abhorrent qualities to him:
1) He’s a pig-headed jock.
2) He’s a grade A asshole with the biggest, overbearing ego.
3) He’s a manwhore.

These three qualities alone should’ve had me running for the hills. I tried to steer clear of him, I really did, but it was an impossible feat. Luke Caldwell was nothing if not persistent, and the way he bulldozed through my life, not taking no for an answer is proof of it.

I tried to stay away from him.

I wanted to hate him. But I couldn’t.

Luke was nothing like the idiot jock I pegged him out to be. He became a friend, a confidant, and after one unforgettable night, he became so much more.

Whatever this is between us, it’s impossible to ignore. I just hope when all is said and done, I won’t be burned by the college bad boy.

Praise for Scoring the Quarterback:
“This book is a page turner for all the college romance lovers out there, I read this book in one sitting and would highly suggest it. S.M Soto brings the perfect amount of angst with sweet.” - USA Today Best Selling Author T.L Smith

“The best sports romance I've read this past year!" - Holly S. Roberts author of the USA TODAY Best-Selling novel "Play"

“OMG This book was absolutely amazing I loved it. Luke and Natalia are a perfect pair. Their witty banter back and forth and the angst. I could not put it down. Devoured this book in one night.” - Once Upon A Romance Blog

“It doesn’t happen very often that I read a book cover to cover until three a.m., Scoring the Quarterback had me on my freaking knees! Kudos to you S.M. Soto!” – Zellie Geustyn (Beta Reader/Reviewer)

Love’s Betrayal
The Extraordinary Life of Amy Winston, Book 2

Picture
The near ruin of Domnika

Domnika was the daughter of a Russian Czar who lost his head. For her protection she was sent to a girl’s school in Switzerland. Even from the start, whoever sent her there, did not provide adequate clothing for her, but they did pay the tuition, so she had no reason to leave the school. Later, even the tuition stopped. It is most probable that the person who had sent the money either died or saw no hope that the family of the Czar could ever reclaim his throne. But either way, she was abandoned, or would have been had not Amy spent her own funds to pay for her schooling and then took Domnika with her when they ran out of money and had to leave school.

Shockingly, on Domnika’s very first day in Nicolas’s house, he attempts to compromise her. Domnika did not think well of Nicolas at all! And shares that with him.

Thus, the first chance he gets, he lets Domnika know that without family she has no protection and he can do anything to her. ANYTHING!
Picture
BLURB
When Amy and her friend Domnika arrive in London, she discovers her guardian, Nicolas, is under the thrall of his ‘perfect’ wife. Neither is happy she has come. The only person who seems pleased with her arrival is the handsome valet, Antonio, who turns out to be far more than a servant.
Needing to escape her guardian’s care, Amy and Domnika take refuge at a fellow schoolmate’s home. Antonio leaves Nicolas’ service and becomes one of her many protectors. Unlike the other protectors, he becomes the first of many admirers that vie for her hand.
All the while, Nicolas continues to prove over and over that he is not the fine fellow her uncle had thought.

Excerpt

Unexpected guests
Nicolas read the letter over to ensure he grasped the content.
“Is something wrong?” his wife Sicily asked, as she entered the library and noticed his expression.
“Not wrong, exactly, only unexpected. It appears my ward Amy and a friend intend to visit London.”
“Why?” she asked, her voice betraying concern.
“I’m not sure. She should have had sufficient funds to go another year if she was frugal.”
Sicily laughed. “Well, there you have it. Surely you must realize by now that ladies cannot be frugal, even when they try so very hard.”
Nicolas pulled her into his arms. “And are we talking about my ward, or my beautiful and perfect wife now?” he teased.
“I’m by no means perfect. If I were, I could make my allowance stretch through the month.”
“And if I were a better provider, I could make so much money that you would never be constrained by an allowance,” he replied and kissed her.
When the kiss broke, she leaned her head upon his shoulder. “She doesn’t expect you to give her a season, does she?”
“It is possible. I did promise Uncle John that I would do that.”
“But darling, we are losing ground now. How can we possibly afford to give her a season? And to what point? Without a dowry and her dubious parentage, there is no chance of her finding a husband. I understand that she was a sweet child that you doted upon, but there is nothing you can do to help her, and to be honest, it will bbe a social disaster if she stays here as our guest.”
Nicolas stiffened and assisted her off his lap. He had discovered one serious flaw in his bride. She had no respect to what it meant when he gave his word. Constantly, she pressured him to break his word on little matters. He had said he would attend the Batcher’s party on Wednesday, but would it not be far more sensible to attend the Stonewell’s instead? And while he all too often gave in on these little matters, he would not betray Uncle John again.
“Amy and her friend Domnika will be welcomed with open arms into this house and may stay as long as they like. That is not open for discussion. Uncle John loved Amy like a daughter and would never forgive me if I refused her refuge, especially since it is I who foolishly trusted your father with her dowry.”
Sicily’s eyes rounded with hurt as if he had slapped her. “As you wish.” She then turned and ran from the room.

Amy has grown up. She's a capable young woman who only wants to find a place to call home. With her friend, Domnika, she returns to her home so she may inform her guardian she'd like to move to her property but things quickly get out of hand with a valet who isn't one, a wife who is unkind and some new friends.

Ms. O'Connor's stories deal with emotional topics in a way to draw the reader in and have them empathizing with the characters. I find myself longing to be a better person after reading her stories. I wish I could be as patient and kind as her characters (or as strong and fierce). While this is the second book in a trilogy, it can be read alone but why would you want to?? After all, you will miss out on Amy's extraordinary childhood and the reason she's only able to rely on herself.

Sneaking Around #New_release #Collide_3

4/2/2018

Picture
Dating and sneaking around are sometimes synonymous. Especially if you are living with someone else, whether your parents or a good friend. Let's say you want to have your boyfriend over and enjoy yourselves...but you don't really want to broadcast it to the world. So keeping quiet or hiding out is often the result. (Trust me-this doesn't change when you are married with children- You still sneak around to keep things hush hush and hidden from them.)

Some roommates have secret codes. A sock on the door. A special sign. Some way to let the roommate know that they have the house and want to keep the other person out. In book three of Collide, Ben and Gemma are looking for some quiet time but Gemma lives with Ben's sister. Talk about a passion stopper! Who wants to enjoy some love time when your sister might jump in...just eeww!

Anyway...here's an excerpt from Ben's point of view....on a way to escape the sister disaster.....

EXCERPT:
“You’re quite the sweet-talker, Benjamin.”

Gemma reached for my free hand and gathered it in hers. It was a small gesture, but one that made it clear her nerves had begun to settle. With that, I released my hold on her hip and reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear, leaving her shoulder bare and accessible so I could press a soft kiss against her shoulder. Gemma immediately responded to the action, shuddering against me.

“Are you trying to kill me?” she quipped.

“Just enjoying a bit of teasing,” I assured her. “Like I said, I prefer to take things slow.”

“Yes, but have you considered maybe there’s such a thing as too slow?”

I let out a laugh and dropped my hand back to her waist, running my thumb along her hip bone. “Oh, I have. However, I enjoy driving you made little by little.”

“You’re the worst.” She groaned.

“I beg to differ.”

The plus side to bringing her back to my place? I didn’t have to worry about my sister busting in and putting a pause on everything—something she was incredibly good at, unfortunately. That allowed me more time to ensure Gemma enjoyed herself. Seeing her let go and completely lose control was all I needed.

BLURB:
One night changed everything between them.

When Gemma drunkenly admitted her feelings to Ben, she never imagined they’d have a future together -- let alone, that he’d feel the same way for her. And yet, fate put obstacles in their path…

Overcoming family trauma was hard enough but with a brand new relationship? It was even more delicate. And they’ve come out the other side stronger…

Now a new obstacle rears its head as Molly, Ben’s sister, faces her past and must rely on them. With all the family drama going on, they must determine where their future is headed...

But will they have the strength to take the next step?

Falling for the Competition #new_release #startup_fiance

4/1/2018

Picture
In the heat of competition, sparks fly. Sometimes enemies turn to lovers. Maybe it's all that frustration or maybe it's the thrill of the challenge. Who knows exactly but when it happens...it's electric!

Shilpa Mudiganti has created a fascinating world where two tech giants are not only in competition with each other but find that they are more similar than they thought!

Blurb:
Sometimes Love Can Be Arranged.

Arav Shetty had it all. The handsome, self-made billionaire topped the list of New York’s most eligible bachelors and sat at the helm of the city’s biggest tech empire. He also had a plan - buy out the brilliant upstart nipping at his heels, and dominate as the biggest and best tech company in New York.
The strategy had worked for him in the past. He had the resources and skills to pull it off. And, he was determined to overcome his father’s dark legacy, and prove he had what it took to stay on top. Nothing would distract him from his goal. He’d buy out his biggest rival but the company’s owner, Nisha Jain wasn’t the pushover he believed.

Nisha Jain had a plan, too. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, her early years had been a carefully scripted fairy tale. She was determined to make everyone sit up and notice when she achieved stupendous success - without her father's money or brand influence. She knew she was on the right path when her biggest competitor wanted to meet with her.

But when they met, nothing went as planned.

Neither expected the instant spark of attraction, nor the hurtful words tossed around like confetti. With meddling family members and an arranged marriage thrown into the mix, the fate of both companies - and Arav and Nisha’s undeniable attraction – hung precariously. What was supposed to be a cakewalk became more complicated than either ever imagined.

Compromises needed to be made. But between a billionaire whose life work is on the line and an heiress out to prove her own worth, who would blink first?

EXCERPT:
"Why do you want to give it a chance? You think I am a spoiled brat living on my dad's riches. I didn't peg you for a gold-digger.” she said, the bite back in her tone. She leaned back on the glass wall, her arms crossed again. "Maybe you think you are going to merge Note Nirvana after the marriage, and free me from the burdens of managing this company. And while I rest at some fancy house of ours, you take TechNotes to greater heights."

Her breathing was heavy, anger coloring her cheeks a different shade of pink. I didn't want an encore of that. I debated whether I should just walk out now, because she clearly had no interest in my proposition. I knew a lost deal when I see one, and this was beyond lost. This was a disaster.

Yet, I was unable to move. My heart was lodged in my throat, and I found myself speechless. The woman in front of me was one-of-a-kind. Smart, confident and beautiful. She made my heart sing with just a look, and right now, my heart was singing a whole opera. I wanted to fight for this woman. I needed to fight for her, for us, for a chance. It wasn't difficult for me to make a decision when I knew what I wanted.

"If that's what you fear, let me make it clear that I would never take the cowardly way of marrying you just to get your company. I would buy it for what it's worth."

She took a sharp breath and pushed herself off the wall. "I am not selling it to you."

"Fair enough. I am not buying it, until you show an interest in selling it."

"Not happening,” she said, her tone sharp. I raised my hands in surrender.

"Got it." I paused. Her expression softened, and I grabbed the opportunity. "Now can we think about giving this a chance? We had a bad first meeting that was all business. We should meet again and just get to know each other, to see if we are a good match."

"But why?"

"Because I like you."
