Never Fear The REaper is Back!! #2- #Cover_Reveal

9/25/2017

Have you ever fallen in love with a story and then were sad when it ended? You wanted more?? You are in luck! The wonderful Never Fear the Reaper has a sequel!

Ryder and Chase are back and taking names!

Picture
They say, when one door closes another one . . . lets out a whole, hell fire of demons. However this is just another day in the lives of Chase and Ryder.

For Ryder, death was only the beginning. But doing it over and over again can become a little redundant. The paranormal is the only thing she’s ever known, so adding a little romance to it, completely and totally throws her off.

For Chase he's focused on getting a hold of his powers while falling deeper in love with Ryder. As if finding true love isn't hard enough, hell has its way of trying to put their romance on hold. Then add in the handsome and composed, which is something that Chase is not, Deputy who joins their rag tag team.

Things instantly get a little bit chaotic and heated.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Ashley Pagano has always dreamed of being an artist both figuratively and literally. Her love of art was instilled by her mother who always inspired her to be creative either with a paintbrush or with a pen and paper. As far back as she can remember her life was always centered around introspection, storytelling, and imagination. Because she is so artistic, she took to the idea of creative writing very passionately. Her ability to describe a scene, person, or place, she compares to painting a picture, where she can describe every detail vividly in order to make the reader feel like they’re truly living in the story. Her works of writing usually center on a powerhouse female protagonist (which reflect her own personality), who progresses through many wild and extreme obstacles. Ashley loves to write stories that end with a cliffhanger, that have the reader begging for more and questioning what happens next. Her most recent novel sets the stage for the paranormal romance of the century and includes ghosts, poltergeists, and demons who just love to get in the way of true love. Ashley has won awards for her design, art, and writing.
Ashley doesn’t believe in down time whatsoever and actually loves having a full “To-Do” list. Ashley is a wife to her wonderful husband, Eric and a mother to a beautiful little baby girl named Dakota. She is also a Graphic Designer and a health and fitness coach. Her husband and daughter inspire her to be the best person she can be and encourage her to pursue any of her dreams (no matter how extravagant they may be).

Title:
Planting the Seeds of Love: A Novella

Author: N. N. Light

Genre: Contemporary Romance, New Adult, New Adult Romance

Blurb:
Torn between two men, Sally must follow her heart and decide if love will lead her to the city or the countryside.

Twenty-Two-year-old Sally Rayton returns to the family farm she deserted four years ago to bury her grandfather. Her plan: to settle her grandfather’s estate and return to her life in the city with her boyfriend, Trevor Mattson.

Her childhood friend, Jack Smith, has other ideas.

Jack convinces Sally to transform the farm into a brewery and fulfill her grandfather’s dream while keeping the Rayton Farm in the family. Sally works side-by-side with Jack while Trevor is hundreds of miles away in the city. The more time she spends with Jack, the stronger her feelings are for him.

When Trevor shows up to propose to Sally right before Christmas and finds her in Jack’s embrace, she must make the biggest choice of her life: true love.

Excerpt:
The next morning, Sally woke to the smell of sizzling bacon. She stretched in bed before putting on her robe. She glanced at the clock. It was already eight. She looked out the window. As far as she could see, snow covered everything like a warm glittering blanket. She hugged herself.

“So, this is what it means to be in love? I like it.”

She crept down the stairs, to see what Trevor was cooking. A smile lit her face and she sat in her grandpa’s rocking chair, watching Trevor in the kitchen. He wore a green plaid robe, his hair ruffled from sleep and there was a slight pillow crease across his left cheek. He flipped pancakes while whistling a classic rock song. She hugged her knees, reveling in her domestic bliss.

“I could get used to this,” she whispered.

He turned around and grinned.

“Good morning, beautiful. Want some coffee?”

She walked into the kitchen, giggling as if it was Christmas.

“It’s like I’m dreaming, what with you here, making breakfast.”

He handed her a mug of steaming coffee. She took a sip.

“Ahh, it’s just how I take it. Heavy cream and sugar.” She took another sip.

Trevor pulled her into his embrace.

“You are a vision in white, my angel.” He kissed her senseless. Her body responded and she burned with desire. She peppered kisses along his jawline.

“I want to go back to bed,” she whispered in his ear. She raked her teeth down his ear.

He moaned.

“You drive me crazy when you do that.” His hot breath seared her neck.

“Mmm…” she whispered.

He playfully slapped her butt.

“Vixen.”

She laughed seductively.

“Now go sit at the table and wait for breakfast.” He refilled her coffee. “Tsk tsk tsk, distracting the cook.” He winked.

What Readers Think:

“The author does a splendid job of building the internal tension as well as some wonderfully lighthearted interactions that play out perfectly and keep the reader engaged. The secondary characters are well thought out, and bring an added dimension to the setting.” – USA Today Bestselling Author Jacquie Biggar

“Great descriptive narrative, vivid dialogue that not only breathed life into the characters but provided a window into life in a tight knit countryside community. The countryside community was portrayed so positively, it even lured this committed city girl into sampling a taste of country life with a farm visit next holiday.” -- Ariel C.

“For a short story, this one is so well-developed and full of wonderful characters, it was a pleasure to read.” – K. Westrope

Book one in the Taming the Beast series

No more Mr. Nice Guy.

For Becca Salt being a witch isn’t all magic. Too curvy and lonely, she spends her nights running a makeover service for demons, vamps, weres and zombies who want to project a more human, normal side. Their goal? To get the babes without the authorities hunting them down like rabid dogs. Once Becca suppresses the worst of their beast, they’re on the hunt and gone.

Dating has been a definite bitch for Eric Diletto. Although he’s hot and hung, he’s also one of Cupid’s descendants—a god born to believe in courtship, courtesy and all that other junk. Tired of women dumping him for the bad boys, Eric hires Becca to release his inner beast. Grrrr.

Two potions later, they’re crawling all over each other. With Eric’s newfound dominance, he’s definitely the man. And the god, who intends to take Becca here, there and everywhere. Who said sorcery and love wasn’t fun?

Warning—a witchdoctor’s nightmare. Contains potions with weird side effects, a sorceress with limited magical skills and a yearning heart, plus a minor god who wants to get down and dirty. Bad, bad boy.

Excerpt #1:

The front door swung open.

Heat and humidity poured inside, along with racket from the street party. Drunken voices mingled with throaty laughter, pounding drums and trumpets. The instruments reached and held their highest notes.

A guy slipped inside. At least six-three, he had an athlete’s build—lean and muscular, his shoulders broad, hips narrow, thighs powerful.

Becca’s pulse thumped in her ears, drowning out the other sounds. She stepped closer.

Classically handsome, he wore his hair preppy-style, longer on the top, shorter on the sides. Those locks were a warm chestnut brown streaked by the sun and tousled, begging for a woman to smooth them back.

Becca lowered her hand. She hadn’t intended to lift it.

His golden complexion spoke of days spent outdoors, perhaps from skinny-dipping in a pool, water streaming over his firm pecs and abs…and lower.
She suppressed a delighted shiver.

He wore leather loafers, beige khakis and a white dress shirt opened at the collar, the sleeves folded back to mid-forearm.

Masculine yet civilized.

The staff had done an outstanding job on this guy’s makeover. No wonder Zoe had suggested him for the advertising pieces. A fat raise for everyone was in order. Maybe even part ownership in this place. They’d made this dude over to the nth degree from…

Becca wasn’t certain what kind of demon he was or his level in Hell. She’d never met him before. Maybe he’d taken so long to get there because he couldn’t pull himself away from the god he now saw in his mirror.

EXCERPT:
LOST IN HIS ARMS
Lord Wrotham’s big, rough hand took hers, but instead of leading her back to the floor, he made his way to Elizabeth, speaking a word in her ear.

She laughed and nodded, then rearranged her sheets of music.

He pulled Charlotte onto the floor to stand in front of him. “I hope you will not be too scandalized by my request, my lady.” His eyes said he hoped she was and a thrill ran from her head to her toes.

“I doubt you can shock me, my lord.” She raised her chin and stared straight into his coal-black eyes.

“We shall see.” He grasped her hands, the power in his a tangible thing. His touch spread delicious warmth throughout her body. They bowed and Elizabeth began a waltz.

Not exactly scandalous, yet a bold choice. The first figure moved easily, with little intimate contact. Then, in the second figure, his arms were supposed to embrace hers. Instead, they reached all the way around her back until they touched. He pulled her closer to him, his lips pressed against her ear, and whispered, “And now, my lady? A waltz can be a scandalous dance if your partner is of a mind to make it so.” He pressed her tighter, almost indecently.

Yet she did not struggle. Could not. His big body against her—the hard strength of him leaving nothing for her to imagine—persuaded her that to fight him was futile. She would never be free. Never wanted to be…

Picture
Duty and prophecy get in the way of everything.

All I ever wanted to do was read my books, play my sports, and help people. Life and prophecy had other things in mind.

Helping people is what I do; as an empath and semi-frequent telepath, I can easily sense and understand people's needs and emotions. Sometimes even before they do. Being able to read everyone’s thoughts and feelings all the time can drive me crazy with anxiety, but that moment when I can finally make someone’s life better makes everything worth it.

Unfortunately, I’m also the next in line to rule the galaxy, I’m the only diplomat most planets will listen to, assassins try to kill me on an annoyingly regular basis, and a much-vaunted Prophecy has decreed that I’m going to die. Oh, and someone blew up my home planet.

Kind of a lot to deal with, right?

Too bad I just got another problem: a big, irritating, overbearing bodyguard with serious anger management issues.

And I think I’m falling for him.
EXCERPT:
Synie waved her hand impatiently. “Meda, you’re seriously not arguing about having a Protector?”

I held up a finger. “I never said that. And I found out who he was a week ago.”
Kos raised an eyebrow and Synie started. “What? How did you know?” she asked.

I shrugged. “I went through Kos’s communiqués.”

The unfortunate thing about Kos was that I couldn’t read him. I had the ability to read people’s emotions, and if they were particularly weak-minded or just upset, I could read their thoughts too; being upset tended to loosen control over the mind, which made it an open book to me. It was a pretty central part of how I understood people.

But Kos… nada. I studied his face, but it hadn’t altered with the news that I’d gone through his mail—again. I shifted uncomfortably.

Synie flicked a glance between me and Kos before saying, “I’ll leave that little tidbit between the two of you. But, Princess, you are going to have this Protector.”

I sighed, letting my head flop back against the chair. “I know. And I get it. But don’t expect me to like it.”

“Do you want to know more about the Protector?” Kos finally spoke.

“Perseus, right?” I considered what I’d learned. “He’s Mathan, a mercenary—often referred to as the best mercenary the galaxy has ever seen—and has never lost a fight.”

Kos sat back. “So you know Mathan moods can be a bit….”

“Temperamental? Explosive? Unpredictable? Testosterony?”

His mouth quirked. “Mercurial.”

Synie shook her head. “Is that really the kind of Protector we want?”

Kos leaned forward. “He was divined by the Oracle herself.” His eyes turned hard as he looked at me. “And we sure as hell need to get the princess protected as soon as possible—from herself if nothing else.”

I love living in a small, rural town

My first twelve years were spent growing up in Walnut Creek, California (when Walnut Creek was still a small town), and I have childhood memories of catching pollywogs in the creek that ran by us, of being able to pick ripe peaches from the trees on our two acres (also almonds, pears, English walnuts, apricots, and more); and sitting in my “thinking” tree making up stories. When I married my husband, I was going to U.C. Santa Barbara, but two years later we decided to move to Michigan. It was supposed to be a short-term move (just a couple years, my husband said). I won’t tell you how many years we’ve now lived in Michigan, but we now have grown children and teenage granddaughters. I haven’t regretted the move. Michigan is a beautiful state, and for 27 years we lived in the rural community of Climax. What a perfect location for a romance writer, and what a neat place to plot a mystery with a lot of suspense. (Yes, there are some similarities between the real Climax and my imaginary Zenith in The Crows, As the Crow Flies, and Eat Crow and Die, but the events and people in those books are definitely fictional.)

I love animals

I fell in love with the Rhodesian Ridgeback the first time I saw one at a dog show. I love their temperament, their intelligence, and their personalities. Over the years I’ve owned several: It seemed natural to use a Ridgeback puppy in my “Crows”books. We’ve also owned hunting dogs (my husband’s), German Shepherds, and now a poodle.

When we lived near Climax, we owned horses and raised (at various times) chickens, ducks, rabbits, pigs, goats, and even one steer. I would say we also owned many cats, but I think they owned us.

I love being near the water

We’ve now moved close to Lake Michigan (so my husband is near his sailboat), and we spend our winters in Florida, not far from the Gulf Coast. Both locations feed my love of being near water (remember that creek I played in and Santa Barbara) and are ideal places to nurture my desire to write.

I love happy (or at least satisfying) endings

Whether I’m writing or reading a romance, a mystery, or a combination of the two, I want a satisfying ending (girl gets guy and/or good guys get bad guys). For my books, I’m probably going to include an animal or two and there’s a good chance the characters will live in the country, the mountains, or near water. I’ve often used Michigan and California as settings, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Florida shows up in a future book.

I’m sometimes asked if the characters in my books are based on me or someone I know. My answer is: Maybe bits and pieces, but my protagonists are always braver and smarter than I am (along with younger) and the antagonists are always nastier than the people I’ve known.

Liza O'Connor's Ancient Love- Who are You Going to Call?? #review

9/5/2017

A Dark Suspenseful Ghost Thriller
With a Romantic Ending

Picture
Who you gonna call?
This story takes place in London England. A terrible emergency is called in. Naturally, I first type that my hero calls 911, but then recalled from all the times I visited London that they do many things differently. So I looked it up. Seems there are two choices. Most of Europe favors 112 as the emergency number, but the UK favors 999. So 999 it is. Still, I’m a bit worried that a bored cat might take up calling 999 for fun. To be fair, 112 isn’t much better at preventing cats from calling in emergencies.

If you are in the USA and you need help, you call 911. This set of digits prevents your cat from easily calling the police.  If you are in Canada, you can also call 911 as well. In this case, they did not follow the Queen. It may be they needed to stop all the cats calling in non-existent emergencies, or it may be because it’s easier to deal with US tourists if they can call 911.

If you are in Australia you should call 000. Clearly no problem for the cats to call. So why didn’t they go for 999? The cats would like it just a much.
I believe the three zeros stands for OOO shit! Because Australians will try to fix whatever is wrong on their own first, so when they call for help, it’s a serious, probably life-threatening problem.

In some tiny places, like Cook Island, they have three different numbers to call, because evidently that helps simplify island life. So you should call 999 for the police, 998 for an ambulance and 996 for a fire. I’ve no idea what happens if your neighbor has set fire to your house and you have caught on fire while trying to put it out and now need an ambulance. Of course, you’ll want the neighbor arrested.  You might need to call all three numbers and let them fight over who has jurisdiction…while you and your house burn.

Be warned, just because I’ve been silly about the emergency numbers does not mean this is a funny story. THIS IS A DARK AND DISTURBING STORY…with a happy ending. What can I say? I love happy endings.

All she knows is for the first time in this life, she is happy and with purpose in a quaint museum located in an ancient castle. Only Rainier, a ghost from the past, knows the complete truth, and a curse prevents him from warning her of the dangers that will end her life, as it has ended all her lives before. But this time, a man of his bloodline has entered the battle, so Rainier is not alone in his fight to keep Alice alive and well from the demon of their past.

An intriguing tale that pits everlasting love against a deadly curse that has followed the heroine through all her lives. A ghost from her past and a good man in her current life risk everything to keep her alive.

EXCERPT
“Where the hell are you?”

“In my bed, following doctor’s orders. I’ve been at the hospital, but I got sent home an hour ago.”

“Were you hurt?”

“No. I was there for Alice Dunn, the artist…I’m sorry I never called you and brought you up to date. The police will probably be calling you to arrange an interview with me.”

Daniel’s voice carried too much agitation to ignore. “They’ve called five times. I’ve kept stalling them, hoping to locate you before they did.”

“They should have known where I was. They spoke to me at the hospital yesterday. However, I apologize for not calling you. Things have been crazy. One of the museum directors tortured and planned to kill an artist I hired for the museum, and my assistant Carl was involved. When he confessed what was happening, I instructed the guard to call the emergency number: 999, while I hurried to the basement where evidently I found a gun and shot—”

“Stop there!” Daniel barked. “Are you on a cell phone?”

“No.”

“A wireless home phone?”

Rein grimaced. “Yes.”

“I’m coming right over.” The line went dead.

Ms. O'Connor does it again. Ancient Love is a touching thriller sure to keep you on the edge of your seat as you try to figure out who is a bad guy and who to trust.

Alice is a woman who has finally found her dream job at a cute little museum. She's even fallen in love with a ghost who gives her a chance to live out her fantasy of life in the past. Rainier is a ghost but he's got some inside knowledge on Alice which he can't share.

I felt for Alice and wanted her to have a happily ever after...but it was not an easy road. There's a curse and Alice faces death. Each puzzle piece fell into place but not without a little jiggling. Then Rainier has his own issues and things get mixed up. Just enough drama and fear... I couldn't stop reading until I learned how it all worked out!

Just know you won't be able to put it down!
