Today I have visiting fellow Rebel Ink author Wendy Smith. Thanks for coming by. Tell us about yourself. Well I am actually a full time accounting associate at Goodwill Industries of Arkansas. I have 2 children that are actually grown young adults if they knew that I still referred to them as children they would scream. Actually my boys are great and so is my hubby; he is truly the inspiration to my writing. What television sitcom is most like your family? Why? According to Jim – Simply because no matter what Jim does he reminds me of my hubby. My husband loves that show too! There is something about Jim that is so much like many men. Now let's find out a little about your interests. Do you prefer…Coke or Pepsi? Hello COKE Living without your cell phone or living without your computer? Take my cell I could care less all it does is put leash on me. Thanks! I love Coke too! It is my morning drink of choice. Now let's talk about you as an author… Did you always want to be an author? Nope believe it or not never even considered it. What authors had an impact on you growing up and as an adult? Patricia Cornwell is my favorite author she has a way with her characters that totally amaze me. Did anyone in your life influence you or encouraged you to be a writer? Funny thing about me becoming a writer it took a bottle of wine, a pool and a whiny husband to get Chase’s Love created. See I have bought at least 200 books in a year and my hubby wanted to know if they were tax deductible. My best friend Dawnn said only if they were a business expense; so he dared Dawnn and I to write a book. I took his dare and 3 weeks later Chase’s Love was born. What have you learned the most from being in the writing business? Patience; I am not a patient person but I have learned to wait for my edits to be finished, wait for my cover and then scream when they arrive. I love my publisher Rebel Ink Press they are a talented and an amazing group of people. Tell us about your latest release: Chase’s Love was released January 3, 2012 with Rebel Ink Press Rachel wasn't looking for love. As a matter of fact, she'd written off men altogether as the last thing she wanted in her life was another controlling jerk. At least that was the plan until the guy of her dreams walked into her life. Chase Jamison had just got out of the military and was working toward expanding the business he started with his brother and best friends. He had a goal and he was focused. Never in a million years did Chase expect to find the sexiest woman on earth at his club. As Chase and Rachel come together and try to find happiness, one question remains. Will Rachel's ex-lover step in and keep the pair from finding true love? How did you decide on your story plot? I really didn’t I sat down in front of my computer and suddenly about 2,000 words later I had a plot. How did you choose your characters names and location for your story? I can’t say that I was crazy inventive but they are people’s names that affected my life at some time or another. Thanks for stopping by! I hope my readers will check out your book. It is a great read! Let our readers know how they can get a hold of you… Simple check me out at www.wendysmithbooks.com www.wendysmithbooks.blogspot.com [email protected]
