Supernatural Creatures- Which is Your Favorite? #new_release #the_Guard

I can fully admit that I have a thing for supernatural creatures. Vampires, Dragons, Shifters, Fae. There's something exciting about falling for a person who isn't quite human.

I love how each author takes the knowns (the different kinds) and makes them unique to their stories. Some authors have werewolves as strong and down to Earth, while others have them stumbling about like the Walking Dead. So while a type of supernatural can be bad in some worlds, they can be sexy heroes in another.

Author, Ashley Pagano has taken the supernatural world and created her own unique twist. A hotel where supernatural creatures live and a hotel that they must protect. Vampires, Fairies and a whole slew of other creatures show up in her books! Some on the side of good and some are evil!

Her first book in THE SOPPRANATURALE SERIES, THE GAUNTLET, introduced us to the hotel and some of those creatures, but her sequel, THE GUARD (Available now) brings in even more!

Blurb:
For Centuries, Fairies were extinct. And now . . . there are two at the Soppranaturale.
For readers hungry for more, here is book two in the Best-Selling Soppranaturale Series.

Ommily didn't expect to find "herself" at the Soppranaturale. She didn't expect to find magic, awe and beauty. And she certainly didn't expect to find her soulmate, and her match in every way.

Now that Link and Ommily have conquered the deadly Gauntlet, confessed their love for one another and been initiated into the Guard, they must fight to protect the Soppranaturale hotel from impending doom. Using their incredible powers, and those of their fellow Guard members, they must take the ultimate stand against rouge supernaturals. In order to succeed, Ommily and Link must push their bond even further.

Will the Soppranaturale hotel fall or will the Guard perish? The ultimate sacrifice may be required to do the unthinkable.

EXCERPT:
“Remove your shield, now!” she orders firmly.

I obediently drop my shield, causing the Red Caps to rain down upon us. But their descent is not fast enough. On her command, the flame leaps up, expands into a blazing inferno, and rolls outward like the mushroom cloud of an atomic bomb. She throws her hands upward and the rampaging flame obeys. Within seconds, the fire fills up the entire arena, lighting it up and feverishly devouring everything in its path like a famished beast. Even from several feet below, the heat is so oppressive I have to shield my face. Markus drops and does the same, curving into something fetal. Seraphine welcomes the flames as they approach her, mid-flight. Being that she’s completely fireproof, forged in the fires of Hell, she has not a thing to worry about. The fire erupts toward the ceiling, scorching every Red Cap in its way. It chews through their bodies, starting at their talons and sizzling up through their straw-like hair. The smell of burning flesh is followed by ashy remains floating to the ground like great dirty snowflakes. Gray smoke billows into the air, filling the hatches and seeping into the walls. Fire engulfs the nets, showering the arena with golden sparks that leap across the floor. It crawls across the ceiling tiles like dripping globes of red, orange, and yellow paint upon a porous canvas. It consumes the ceiling tiles until they deteriorate, break apart, and crash around us. It’s blinding, crackling, and terrifying.

Finally, Ommily exhales and releases her influence on the flames. She gently waves her hands across the field and every lick of fire is extinguished and every puff of smoke disintegrates. All that is left is the overwhelming smell of bonfire, and dancing embers.

About the Author:
Ashley Pagano has always dreamed of being an artist both figuratively and literally. Her love of art was instilled by her mother who always inspired her to be creative either with a paintbrush or with a pen and paper. As far back as she can remember her life was always centered around introspection, storytelling and imagination. Because she is so artistic, she took to the idea of creative writing very passionately. Her ability to describe a scene, person or place, she compares to painting a picture, where she can describe every detail vividly in order to make the reader feel like they’re truly living in the story. Her works usually center around a powerhouse female protagonist (which reflect her own personality), who progresses through many wild and extreme obstacles, including falling in love. Ashley loves to write stories that end with a cliffhanger, that have the reader begging for more and questioning what happens next. Her most recent novel sets the stage for the fairy love saga of the century and includes vampires, witches, shapeshifters and werewolves who just love to get in the way of true love. Ashley has won awards for her design, art and writing.

Ashley doesn’t believe in down time whatsoever and actually loves having a full “To-Do” list. Ashley is a wife to her wonderful husband, Eric and a mother to a beautiful little girl, Dakota. She is also a Graphic Designer and a health and fitness coach. Her husband and daughter inspire her to be the best person she can be and encourage her to pursue any of her dreams (no matter how extravagant they may be).
