Yes, I'm a Liz Crowe fan and probably need a ten step program to not stay up all night reading. Shut Out is just the latest in her award winning books. I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the book and hope that you will give her books a try. They certainly keep you engaged and connected with the characters! Shut Out By Liz Crowe Shut Out is another dramatic read. I couldn’t put it down and read it this morning while snuggling in bed! Liz writes romance for real life and this story is a perfect fit for that tag line. Brody and Sophie are flawed. They have baggage that draws them together, just like the rest of us. They want to be loved and needed. They want to be good at what they do and have doubts, fears and scars. Their past issues sometimes gets in the way of their own happiness. Stubborn and determined are only two words to describe both of them. But Liz has a twist up her sleeve. Just when you think you know how things go, a plot twist sends you reeling and as you right yourself, you get to see deeper into the characters’ hearts. Readers will think they know this story but Liz shows you that life and love isn’t easy. It’s messy but can be wondrous at the same time. Liz also touches on the hot sports topic of head injuries. Even at my school, we had to be trained to recognize and be cautious with any head bump. I don’t want to give away any spoilers so I can’t share more about the storyline, other than to say it will keep you on the edge of your seat. Shut Out is the third book in the Black Jack Gentlemen series and doesn’t have to be read in order to enjoy this story. Many of the characters from the other Black Jack books show up and even Jack Gordon (Stewart Realty Series) makes an appearance. Certainly fans of Liz Crowe’s books will want to read this book, but if you love a book that has meat and a deep storyline with amazing characters, this book is for you! Get your copy today!!
