Today I'm sharing my thoughts on ROMANCE... the heart of our world. I am giving away a copy of one of my ebooks to one lucky commentator. In addition all the people who leave a comment along with their EMAIL ADDRESS will be entered to win the grand prizes!! 1st Grand Prize: A Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet 2nd Grand Prize: A $130 Amazon or B&N Gift Card 3rd Grand Prize: A Large Swag Pack Romance… for everyone! The word romance generates a different picture to each of us at different times. Sometimes it is a candlelit dinner just the two of you. At other times, it is flowers or a special gift of jewelry. Romance can be the way he still looks at you and pulls you into his arms or the way he rubs your shoulders after a long day at work. We need to have that spark of romance in order to have a passionate relationship. It makes all the lows worth the work to keep a liaison going s trong. Anyway you look at it…without the romance, the happily ever afters wouldn’t happen. We, readers and writers, are in the romance industry. We write stories about the magnetic corporate lawywer who captures the eye of his lowly secretary and dreams of what if. We tell the stories of characters who should never have ended up together, yet find love perfectly. We love nothing more than to have our two characters fall in love and connect. We want them to feel the spark of desire and the passion of romance. We want themto be happy and to live happily ever after… or at least happily enough for the next book in the series. It is this concept of impossible love that I wrote about in my story “Second Time’s the Charm”. Lissa Vincent was a broken woman. She was a lot like me when I divorced my ex-husband. I felt that life had kicked my teeth out. But I knew that I deserved a love story of my own and was determined to get it. “Second Time’s the Charm” is the tale of a woman who doesn’t see the value in herself and needs a little romance to convince her of her own charms. Middle aged and after a tough divorce with a hostile ex-husband, Lissa was facing a new life on her own two feet. Struggling with being a single parent to her two boys and juggling her job and their needs, left her little time for herself. She never expects that love will even glance her way again. And if she has to meet another guy like her ex, she doesn’t want it to either. But love and romance doesn’t care what she wants when it puts her best friend’s ex-husband, Alex Hunter, in front of her. Alex has to woo Lissa. He pulls out all the stops, the rose petals, holding hands, and the candlelit dinner. He even gains the friendship of her sons. But will it be enough to present them with a happily ever after? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How does a middle aged, divorcee with two children find her way back to love after a devastating divorce leaves her with no self confidence and no faith in love? Lissa's ex-husband has shredded her self-esteem so she's thrown herself into her children and her work, leaving time for nothing else. When an life threatening illness in her best friend's family puts Lissa on the path to romance, Lissa finds new love in a most unexpected way--an introduced by her new guy's ex-wife. Who knew that first time loves could lead to second chances? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Do you believe in romance? What is the most romantic thing someone has done for you? To enter... just comment about romance and MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS! It's that simple! Don't forget that the more comments you leave on the various sites, the better your chances are! Good Luck!!

Yes, I believe in romance. Many years ago, I'd had a rough day at work. When I got home, my husband met me at the door. He took my coat & lead me to the coach. Not knowing what to expect he knelt down & removed my shoes, he then started to rub my feet. He pulled me up & lead me into the bathroom (where he had started a bath), took my clothes off of me & lowered me into the warm water. Then he turned down the lights & left. After I soaked for about 20 minutes he returned, helped dry me off, wrapped me into a towel & lead me back into the living room, where he'd laid out a blanket on the floor with candles & pillows all around. He then poured soda into wine glasses (I don't drink) & proceeded to seduce me. ;-} Needless to say, I will never forget, one of the most romantic times we had was that evening. Thank You for letting me share a favorite memory of mine. :-) Leann [email protected] 8/31/2012 01:48:11 am
Romance doesn't have to be steamy and hot. It isn't just for skinny, minimally-flawed, drop dead gorgeous young people either. To me, romance is the little things like whispering secrets in my ear, holding my hand, and giving me that look- the one that says I don't know what I'd do without you. Granted I've been married for seven years, lol.

The most romantic thing my hubby has ever done for me is give me the unconditional love that he so freely has to give. He puts me and our kids #1!! I feel bad for it sometimes, because he is just so darn good at it. I don't need flowers, gifts, or anything materialistic to feel romance. I feel romance just from being married to this man for 20 years now and his UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! It is all I could ever ask for or want and I feel so very BLESSED!!;) 8/31/2012 07:04:10 am
The most romantic thing my husband has ever done for me is love me unconditionally every day of our marriage and never misses a day to tell me.

The most romantic thing my husband did was propose many years ago. He's not a romantic type of person and he went all out. We had the fancy Italian dinner with wine, roses, and then a walk on the waterfront where he got down on one knee.

Thank you for reminding me, Melissa. I thought since it asked for my email in the Reply Field, I didn't need to post it again. It's [email protected]. Also, I looked you up on Amazon today and I purchased your book Beach Desires for Kindle :D I haven't started reading it yet since I've been off with the young'uns running errands all day.

Most romantic may have been when hubby brought a book instead of flowers the first time he came to dinner. What a fun hop! delphinareadstoomuch at yahoo
of course I believe in romance - but the HEA? Takes work, and realizing that is halfway to getting there. Most romantic - when he stops, just because, to bring me something that only I like .. raspberries from a farm stand or a latte from starbucks...
Gaele,
I totally believe in romance, I think as I have gotten older my idea about what it romantic has changed. I have found that my husband doing things so I don't have to or to take care of my safety is far more romantic than flowers. All that being said the most romantic thing he has done for me is when we got engaged he talked to my mom asking her to go ring shopping with him, instead she gave him my great grandmothers wedding rings to give to me. So on a beautiful star filled night he took me out to "check out the stars"and presented me with my GGmothers rings.

I love to read romance books. I wanted to every since I was little. I would watch my grandma and aunts reading them. I promised myself that when I grew up I would read books like them. I kept my promise and have been reading them ever since.

I was feeling blue not to long ago when my husband came home from work with dinner and dessert so that I could relax with a book that night. He does sweet unexpected things like that often. 9/1/2012 11:19:49 am
Choosing only one "most" romantic thing my husband has done for me is hard. I guess I'll have to limit it to 2 and let others decide. When we were dating, but 150 miles apart in different colleges, he once rode through the FREEZING weather on his motorcycle to see me. He had icicles hanging off his mustache when he got there! The other was when he sang "One Hand, One Heart (from West Side Story) to me at our wedding! After 40 years together he is still romantic and the love of my life! 9/2/2012 09:43:17 am
Thanks, Melissa. I remember as our son was growing up and started dating, my husband often took him aside and would tell him things he should do to make his girlfriend feel special. My son took his advice and is romantic like my husband; something his girlfriend definitely appreciates. Not only has my husband given me 40 years of joy, but he has taught our son to be the same way making the world a better place. 9/1/2012 12:14:38 pm

I believe romance exists, unfortunately it hasn't for me yet. Until then I have my men in my books and they are a better replacement for a lot of the men I've know haha :) 9/1/2012 01:01:02 pm
I love romance because no matter what may be happening in real life, I can always read a romance and escape into a world where I can count on things to end happily ever after :) 9/1/2012 01:02:07 pm
My husband took me out on a date to see Wicked when it played in Los Angeles after my son was born. I got to get all dressed up and he looked so nice. We don't get to do things very often- even less now that we have a baby girl too. So it was wonderful.

Yes, I believe in romance! :) The most romantic thing that my boyfriend has done for me is buy me a necklace. It had a heart pendant and engraved on the front was 'Josh's Angel' and on the back was 'I love you'. He's also done plenty of other things as well, but it's too numerous to name, haha. :) Thank you for being part of the hop and that book sounds wonderful! 9/2/2012 01:55:39 am

My hubby gave me pearls on our wedding day after hearing ask a friend if I could borrow hers. He gave them to me right before pictures and I have a beautiful collage of him putting them on me hanging up on my wall. It was very romantic. Thank you for the giveaway.

Thanks for participating! Really like the hop so far!! I love reading, especially romance. I love the happy ending that is garenteed at the end. My favorite book is Lover Mine by JR Ward! I love John Matthew and Xhex. My favorite romantic moment was when my fiancé asked me to marry him! We meant two years ago right around when summer was ending! My friend and I went out for our last big night out before classes started again. Thanks so much! Hope everyone else is having a great long weekend!!

I do believe in romance! I also believe sometimes the little gestures mean more! 9/2/2012 06:48:03 am
Yes, I believe in romance! The most romantic thing anyone has done for me? Well...when I was pregnant with our first child, I was sick for a long time. One day, after being in bed for I don't know how long, feeling really crummy, my husband came home from work with a bouquet of spring flowers. They were so pretty, and really lifted my mood. May not seem romantic to some people, but it did to me.

I believe that romance changes over time, depending how long you have been in your relationship. In the beginning its all about wining, dining, and gifts. Later its about the little things cooking dinner and cleaning when he knows you have had a long day. Rubbing your back or feet for the same reasons. Those are the things that are romantic to me now after being with my man for 13yrs married 11yrs, with 4 kids.

The most romantic gesture I have ever received was when my husband had our house professionally cleaned before bringing our 5th son and me home from the hospital after his birth. He was born 1 week before Christmas and our house looked amazing. I got to rest and concentrate on our family and our new edition. I loved it.

I love a good love story that has some sort of hardship. One of my favorite romances is Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson. It is about a young lady whose family believed she was crazy and kept her locked in their attic (historical fiction) and the hero sees her and finds out she is actually deaf and does everything within his power to give her a chance at life, going so far as to send her away to a school for the deaf! Romance is doing something for someone you care about!

I had a boyfriend that worked at a bakery and would bring home sugar cookies with different things that he wanted to do or try written on them in frosting. It was pretty creative and cute. I thought it was a little romantic. Thx for giveaway.

Why I like Romance Novels….The reason I like Romance Novels so much is because it is one place where I can be anywhere like England, Scotland, Rome, Ireland, or anywhere in the US. I can also be in any time like 1200’s Scotland, 1500’s England, 1900’s Chicago. I can be anyone like a princess, a servant, a werewolf, a duchess, a vampire, or a lost soul. But no matter what I get the privilege and the experience to overcome many different obstacles and find love. I am a mother of three teenagers as well and there are many days when I need an escape and my heart needs a rest from the trials of being a parent and trying to do what is best for everyone but yourself. I have overcome cancer, loss, and financial problems and Romance Books let my heart soar and feel free. Let me tell you in this world, and during this time where life can have so many struggles it is great that you can be, have, and do so many things to find love and romance and still be yourself!

When we were first dating, my husband and I were talking on the phone and I was sick from allergies and sinuses. The next thing I knew there was a knock on the door and he was there with medicine and PB M&M's (my favorite). I knew then he was a keeper! Comments are closed.
