One Door Closes...Bang Another Open #new_Release

10/23/2017

The old saying is "When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." This is by Alexander Graham Bell, who knew something about drive and determination. However, sometimes... when one door closes... you have to make your own opening. This is the case for Chase in Never Fear the Reaper: The Bargaining, a new release by Ashley Pagano.

Chase has fallen in love with Ryder who has a weapon she made from a piece of the Grim Reapers' Scythe. They've worked together before but  now there's a third wheel- a Deputy who sets out to help them... but he's got to get one thing through Ryder's head....Love is what matters!  And Chase has to do that while keeping the Grim Reaper off their backs!

They say, when one door closes another one . . . lets out a whole, hell fire of demons. However this is just another day in the lives of Chase and Ryder.

For Ryder, death was only the beginning. But doing it over and over again can become a little redundant. The paranormal is the only thing she’s ever known, so adding a little romance to it, completely and totally throws her off.

For Chase he's focused on getting a hold of his powers while falling deeper in love with Ryder. As if finding true love isn't hard enough, hell has its way of trying to put their romance on hold. Then add in the handsome and composed, which is something that Chase is not, Deputy who joins their rag tag team.

Things instantly get a little bit chaotic and heated.

Excerpt:
When I hear voices coming from the bathroom I quietly tip toe back, in order to efficiently eaves drop. I position myself against the wall right outside the bathroom and place my head alongside of its door jam.  I enter the conversation at the perfect moment, just as Ryder is singing my praises.  Not that I deserve them at the moment.

"The thing I love most about Chase is that he challenges me.  I don't want someone that's going to go along with everything I say and do.  I don't like when it's too easy.  He's just trying to make me a better person and he's always trying to help me see the positives, even in this world of darkness."  She bites her lip as she nears the end of his wound.  Even to her surprise, his stitches are going rather smoothly.

"So you do love him?"

"Yes.  I thought you knew that."

"I just thought someone like me, may have had a shot with someone like you."  His hindered words slip out without any warning.  They even catch her off guard.  "I know I'm not a medium like he is or whatever you are, but I would treat you better.  You are beautiful, do you know that?  You deserve the best."  His words come out slurred and jumbled as a result of his ballsy drunken state.

"I'm flattered.  I really am.  But you don't see what goes on behind closed doors, when we're alone, and not in battle mode.  You'd be very surprised.  Plus no offense to yourself, but I don't date regular humans."  She laughs and continues to tie off the fishing wire.  She's putting the finishing touches on his stitches.

Meanwhile, my face is boiling hot, I'm flustered and livid.  I want to charge in and knock him off of the toilet, pummel him until there are new wounds to stitch up.  In this moment my mind is so far away from my body, off on its own violent rampage.

About the Author:
Ashley Pagano has always dreamed of being an artist both figuratively and literally. Her love of art was instilled by her mother who always inspired her to be creative either with a paintbrush or with a pen and paper. As far back as she can remember her life was always centered around introspection, storytelling, and imagination. Because she is so artistic, she took to the idea of creative writing very passionately. Her ability to describe a scene, person, or place, she compares to painting a picture, where she can describe every detail vividly in order to make the reader feel like they’re truly living in the story. Her works of writing usually center on a powerhouse female protagonist (which reflect her own personality), who progresses through many wild and extreme obstacles. Ashley loves to write stories that end with a cliffhanger, that have the reader begging for more and questioning what happens next. Her most recent novel sets the stage for the paranormal romance of the century and includes ghosts, poltergeists, and demons who just love to get in the way of true love. Ashley has won awards for her design, art, and writing.

Ashley doesn’t believe in down time whatsoever and actually loves having a full “To-Do” list. Ashley is a wife to her wonderful husband, Eric and a mother to a beautiful little baby girl named Dakota. She is also a Graphic Designer and a health and fitness coach. Her husband and daughter inspire her to be the best person she can be and encourage her to pursue any of her dreams (no matter how extravagant they may be).
