Liam’s gaze zeroed in on my lips as I rambled, and he grinned.
“What?” I asked, pausing with another forkful of food poised in front of my mouth.
His smile grew even wider. “You’re cute.” He motioned toward his lips with a finger. “And you have whipped cream on the corner of your mouth.”
Smooth, Alexa. Real smooth.
The waffles were so good, and I was so engrossed in the man sitting next to me, I hadn’t even noticed I’d been shoveling food into my mouth like a caveman.
When I looked down, I realized half my waffle was already gone.
I dropped the fork into my box, scrambling for my napkin. “Oh my god. You have to think I’m the least attractive girl ever.”
Liam caught my wrist, his strength pinning my arm down on the table. “Not at all.” He shifted his seat closer to mine, and they clanked together. “That was actually the exact opposite of what I was thinking.”
Too in awe of the situation to react, I sat completely still as Liam leaned in and pressed his lips against the corner of my mouth. His tongue poked out and cleaned up the whipped cream with one slow and sexy lick.
My insides clenched, and my hands drew into fists.
