Genre: Romance Mesmerized by the sensuous moves of the stranger who danced with her at the Lucian Club, Caitlynn Pilgrim has been trying for almost two years to get him out of her mind, with no success. Until that night, she was perfectly happy with her single life and was not looking for a man to complicate it, but this stranger with his seductive moves has her rethinking that decision. So, for over a year, she has been returning to the club, hoping to run into him and have one more dance with him. Alas, Caitlynn does not know the stranger's name or even what he looks like. She was so taken with dancing with him, she’d neglected to look into his face, and when she was suddenly called away by her friend, Esther, she’d returned to pick up where she left off only to find him gone. Andre Cunningham burns with memories of the beautiful, passionate woman he danced with two years ago at the club. He had spotted her as soon as she walked in, waving her hand in the air. He’d danced up to her and, without uttering a word, fitted his body against hers. They moved together as one. She was as fluid as honey, weaving her magic over him, until he was intoxicated. Just as he was about to ask her name, she separated herself from him and went to talk to her friend… she did not return… he was devastated. From that day to now, he has haunted the club every chance he gets, searching for his mysterious dancer, but so far, it has been an effort in futility. This Labor Day will be two years since that unforgettable dance. He hopes this will be the night he reconnects with his mysterious dancer, even if he has to search every corner of the Club. He will not give up until he finds her. She has branded him with her magic, and ruined him for all others. ~Excerpt~ Chapter One Brooklyn, New York She could recall the night she met him as if it were yesterday. She and her friend, Esther, had gone to the Lucian Club after the Labor Day parade in Brooklyn, New York. She’d walked into the club ready to dance, and as soon as she hit the floor, she had her hands in the air and she was dancing to the hot beat. The next thing she knew, a man was standing in front of her, dancing right along with her. The sexual heat between them had been intense. Every move she made, he had matched it. She had done a lot of dancing in her time, and no one had ever been able to match her move for move. It was as though they were two halves of a whole; one pulled, and the other responded. She was in such a sexual haze that she was not even aware of her environment. Everything had faded into the background, even the fact that she’d come to the club with her friend. She’d been riding such a high that she believed, had he turned around and thrown her over his shoulder cave-man style, she would not have offered one word of protest but would have gone willingly. As a matter of fact, the way they carried on had a caveman-like quality about it. So no names were exchanged, no words of greeting, no phone number changed hands—just two people bent on getting as much sexual gratification from dancing as they could. She was rudely brought back down from her sexual haze when she heard her friend, Esther, calling out to her. Damn, she had forgotten all about the woman. Go away already, she’d thought to herself as she moved even harder against him. When she felt the tap on her shoulder, she was not willing to open her eyes, but she did, and there was Esther, saying she wanted to leave. What was it about people that they couldn’t go to a club, seize the moment, and go with the flow? No, because they were too uptight to have a good time, no one should. We came here to have a good time. She was having a good time, so why couldn’t Esther just go away? She turned around to tell her to get lost, but one look at her sad face, and the words died in her throat. She reluctantly released her partner and walked outside of the club with her. “What’s up, Esther?” “I want to leave.” “Why? I thought you came here to have a good time.” Buy Links: Amazon Barnes & Noble ~About the Author~ Ju Ephraime began writing professionally at age 19; at that time, she wrote short stories for the local radio station in her home town.
