Excerpt

As Virginia stood outside of the upscale apartment building she and her husband owned and lived in, she smiled. There were times when she could never have imagined living in such luxury. Sometimes when she was alone and took off her sexy outfits, she felt ashamed of some of the things she had done. But then there were times when she said, “Fuck you, world; I can do this,” and she did.

Marrying Slater was just the tip of the iceberg. He was rich, but Virginia made a promise to herself that one day he would lose it all. He was a mean son of a bitch. He cheated to get where he was, but he had no idea she knew more about him than anyone else. He never should have killed his first wife in cold blood while she watched. After all, she hadn’t even known he had a wife. Virginia was never sure if Slater suspected she had seen the whole thing from beginning to the end, but he was a ruthless son of a bitch. That day, Virginia decided that Slater would pay.

Blackmail wasn’t the answer; she was going to get almost everything he had. How dare he think he could get away with murder? Now this was a game Virginia could sink her teeth into. Slater having no idea of what he was dealing with excited her; after all, she wasn’t exactly an angel either. She liked a good, tough fight, particularly when the other party was totally unaware of what was happening. She really enjoyed fucking with men, especially when they had their clothes on. Game on for her.

In the doorway of her building, smiling at her, stood Chandler Stone. Even though she had had quite a day, she was always happy to see him. He was a most adorable guy, with a fabulous build and a come-and-get-me smile. He was one of her lovers, and she was one of his. He was sexy, and she felt relaxed when she was with him. Even though their relationship would never last, it was still one hell of a ride. He was built flawlessly, with broad shoulders, muscular thighs, and black curly hair that smelled great.

Chandler had quite an educational background, but chose a life as uncomplicated as possible. He was a property manager with one hell of a sexual life. Just in that building alone, he had an assortment of female companions.

“Hey, good looking,” Virginia purred. “Is Slater home? I hope not.”

“He’s been home for hours. He’s been calling down, asking questions. Do you think he knows about us?”

“I don’t think so. I don’t think he gives a shit who I fuck and that, my dear, is the secret to a horrible marriage.”
