While I was born in Ohio, I lived almost all my adult life in Michigan. There's something about a place you've spent so much time. it seeps into your pores and becomes a part of you. It's one of the reasons I love Susan V. Vaughn's Smitten Series. Each story takes place in a small town in Michigan. Her latest is set in Caseville, Michigan. It's known for it's beachy location but also for a big celebration held each year--Cheeseburger Festival. 

This celebration takes place over the summer for nine days. There's a parade, live music and great food! While the celebration is amazing, it's the small town ambiance which comes through in Susan's story. The friendly neighbors and charm.

Romance Author, Susan Vaughn understood the meaning of sarcasm before she could walk. Her childhood in the suburbs of Detroit was spent mainly trying to outwit her six creative siblings. When she wasn’t working on the next soul-crushing jab, she sharpened her imagination on romantic literature and day dreamed about her knight in shining armor.
