This weekend is my 30th class reunion. I'm heading back to Amherst, Ohio for a fun trip down memory lane. This isn't the first time I've been back...No. Since my dad lives in Amherst, I get back quite a bit but then I spend my time with family. This weekend, I'll see many of the people I went to high school with. You'd be surprised that I'm nervous. My best friend from high school isn't able to make it. I see and talk to her quite a bit but it won't be the same without her by my side. We were quite a pair back in the day. My mom offered us money to go to McDonalds one night when we were "punked" out, just to show everyone. I honestly don't have a whole lot of memories of high school. I only attended three years. I was fortunate to graduate a year early so the people I graduated with weren't the people I grew up with. They were a year older than me. I was one of the newspaper editors. That's me in the front row, left side. Look at how straight I'm sitting! Yikes... nervous much??? Rod (the guy in the middle) was the main editor and a great guy. I've spoken to him a little over the years. I've spoken with other people like Holly who I was close with that can't make it. They want me to take lots of pictures. Have they really seen my photography skills? But if I do, I'll be sure to share them with you! I'm anxious to see the people I was close with...like my date to the junior prom. We went and had a blast. I always thought KAZ would have gone on to win a Grammy! He was very musically inclined. I'm also happy to see good friends like Jamie, Scott and Rob. They've promised not to tease me too much. :) I always thought Rob and Scott would have gone out west and had their own big ranch spreads! They worked ranches each summer and were some of the only "real" cowboys I knew! Well, I'm going back to 1983 on Saturday...While I can't believe it's been thirty years, it will be nice to go home-to Amherst- again. No wonder I write about it all the time. It's in my blood! 7/5/2013 02:25:32 am
Have a wonderful time! Just had my 20th reunion and it was nice to see everyone and check in. I didn't want to go, but the hubby was pretty insistent - and I'm so glad he was. Had a really nice time - You Will TOO! ENJOY!!! Without the mile high bangs and ankle zipper jeans, too. LOL! 7/5/2013 04:01:59 am
Thanks Sasha. I wasn't really close with too many people, so I'm a little nervous about feeling left out. My buds, Scott and Rob have promised to make sure I'm not totally alone and of course, hubby is going. It should be interesting for people watching to say the least!

I'm nervous to say the least. I hope that I can walk away with a positive feeling when I'm done. :) 7/5/2013 03:37:32 am
Yay!!! You decided to go!!! I hope you have lots of fun and laughter, and return with good memories (and possible book plot ideas!) to share when you return:) 7/5/2013 04:03:49 am
