Fabulous Author Kellie Kamryn Stops By

7/14/2012

I'm so excited to have Kellie Kamryn visit with us today. I'm awestruck! Kellie's work is award winning. She recently had a book signing at McNally Robinson and is sharing with us a little bit about herself and then will share about an upcoming release.

Hi Kellie. Thank you for stopping by. Please excuse the gushing. I'm a big fan. Let's get right to the questions.
What’s your favorite thing to do to relax?
Watching The Big Bang Theory with my oldest, read a good book, soak up the sun, visit the beach with the kids. I guess I have more than one favorite thing!

If you could go back in time to when you were seven years old,
what wisdom or advice would you pass on to yourself?
Be yourself. Don’t do what everyone else wants you to do.

For what are you grateful?
My children, life in general, that I have great friends and family, and that I get to pursue my love of writing in a professional way.

What is the number one lie you tell yourself?
That I’m taller than I am. How is that working out? Still the same height, LOL

Now about you as an author…What authors had an impact on you growing up and as an adult?
I loved Nancy Drew mysteries growing up so I’d have to say Carolyn Keen, Eloisa James was so kind as to give me great advice on not giving up a couple of years ago, and I have many writer friends who are supportive and encourage me every day.

Lost in Her Mind will be available in August from Secret Cravings Publishing. It’s a short, sweet romance.

After a near fatal car crash, a mother of four is trapped in a
dream world, fighting to discover which life is her reality.

Kailey Jacobs wakes to find she is still married to the controlling man she thought she divorced. Memories of a fiancée in another life beckon to her. Confused and scared, Kailey is determined to discover whether the man she feels she belongs with truly exists, or is just a figment of her
imagination.

Alex Knight’s fiancée is in a coma after a near-fatal car crash. Her ex-husband is to blame for the accident, but Alex begins to suspect he’s somehow responsible for keeping her comatose as well. He knows he must use his special gift to bring Kailey back to reality. But will it be enough to help her find her way?

How did you decide on your story plot?
The entire thing came to me in a dream and demanded to be written. That’s how most of my stories come to me.

Do you have a favorite scene? Why?
I think near the end when she stands up to her ex.

Thank you Kellie for stopping by today. If anyone would like to see more of Kellie's books and all about her current releases,

We had a bunch of stalkers who didn't post anything. About 50 people stopped by. :) Thanks for sharing your story with us Kellie. It looks like a winner.
