Some of the earliest shows which I remember watching were Dramas with doctors. Soap Operas like Days of our Lives and the Doctors which featured storylines centered around a hospital with doctors and nurses falling in love and facing death. Eventually evening dramas like St. Elsewhere and ER became my go to shows. I fell in love with Anthony Edward's character and cried as he faced the end of his life. Since doctors are my go to for shows, it makes sense to have found a book which fits all those feels. Drawn to Him by Tammy Mannersly releases today and features a sexy doctor who all the local women are dying to get their hands on. This book is one I couldn't put down and is a must for die-hard romantics! Available in ebook and print, you will want this one for your own! Blurb: The new doctor in town is attracting some attention, especially of the female persuasion, but art teacher, Erica Townsend is blissfully unaware until she ends up injured and in his office. Too bad she’d vowed to resist love—that traitorous emotion, the destroyer of lives—after numerous failed relationships. Something about Matt, about their electrifying connection has her wondering if he might just be…the one. Dr. Matthew Garrick is tired of playing wing-man for his best friend. It isn’t that he wishes to look for love, rather the opposite. But the eagerness of some of the single women in their small country town unnerves him. That is, until a certain stunning brunette appears in the waiting room of his medical practice. Her touch sparks something deep inside him, jolting his heart into a new rhythm and Matt makes it his mission to win’s Erica love. Can he convince her to take a risk on him and what they share together? As the good doctor strives to show Erica that love doesn’t have to come at a price, his dangerous secret admirer threatens to prove otherwise. Whoever said love wasn’t dangerous? EXCERPT: Then it happened, that final breath, her lips snuck closer, brushing his, leaving a scalding spark, a blistering burn where they’d briefly, barely touched his skin—and then they were gone. Matt wasn’t exactly sure when he’d closed his eyes, but when he opened them again Erica had disappeared. The click of the door handle had him turning around. She was halfway out of his office before she turned back to look at him, to give him that deadly sexy smile, making his insides smolder and ache with a want he’d never experienced before. A torrent of thoughts whirled through his head, driven to swirl faster with the knowledge that in these final few seconds, his last words needed to leave an impression, a very good impression. “Make sure to keep it clean.” Erica’s gorgeous eyes glittered back at him, and then she was gone, heading back into the waiting room to see Melina and Jocelyn. Make sure to keep it clean? Matt could have died right then and there. He could have said anything, anything at all. He could have said he hoped she had a nice day. He could have mentioned he’d see her at the art class on Friday. Even the corniest “That was nice” would have been a better option. But, no, the doctor voice in his head had won out and his concern over wound care had been the final impression his suave self had been willing to make. No “Thanks for the kiss, you beautiful babe,” just “Make sure you don’t get dirt on your injured knee.” He slapped his hand over his face and closed his eyes. Deep Sigh! |
