The holidays are a time of magic. Children believe in Santa Claus and miracles. After all, Santa does deliver to the children all around the world in one night. I love reading stories that make me believe in magic and The Cheesecake Queen doesn't disappoint.
Caeleah Turner is looking for a new job as a food reporter when she gets a tip that leads her to Chestnut, Colorado and the women known as the Sugar Sisters. But there's a mystery going on in town. The Mayor wants to put the sisters out of business but his motivation is wrapped in "sour balls" and healthy platitudes. Caeleah must save the Sugar Sisters and find out the real reason behind the Mayor's vendetta.
Mrs. Koerner writes a sinfully sweet tale that leaves you guessing at what is really going on. Caeleah seems to have someone pulling strings to make sure that she gets her story. The trick will be to see if she will find love and a job in such a quaint holiday town.
The town of Chestnut is filled with endearing characters from John the cab driver to Sugar Momma. To top it all off, Mrs. Koerner will have you wondering where you can find your own cheesecake treats! I had huge cravings through out the reading. Yum! Thankfully reading doesn't add to my thighs like cheesecake does so my bliss was healthy! A fun and lighthearted read filled with love and magic for the season!
Sugar Rule 1: Christmas is the perfect time for cheesecake.

There is a thick batter of secrets behind The Cheesecake Queen and her two sisters, who operate all the bakeries in town.
But as the mayor’s efforts to shut down the Sugar sisters before Christmas gear up, Caeleah finds herself wanting to sample his own treats.
There’s a bigger secret than love to Cinnamon’s cheesecakes. And Caeleah is determined to find out what it is.
