Author Spotlight: Jane Wakely

Jane has always been a writer. Even when she took a break from it for a few years, she couldn’t keep the stories from filling her head. As an avid romance reader, she finally decided her stories needed to be free, and she started writing again. 

Reading and liking all genres of romance; it makes sense that she would write that way too. Her stories range from sweet to erotic, contemporary to paranormal, and a bunch in-between. She loves all romance genres, and all levels of spice.

Jane lives on the east coast of the United States with her loving husband, daughter and their Miniature Dachshund.

Excerpt:

His glare was a surprise, and he easily stepped around her and walked down the hallway of her small apartment. She watched him disappear into her bedroom, and seconds later he went into the bathroom. She saw the light go on and heard the shower curtain move.

Shocked, she stayed where she was. She couldn’t figure out his behavior. After checking the bathroom, he came back into the living room and stood in front of her.

“Kyle, what is wrong with you? What are you doing here?”

“This.” One hand rested on the nape of her neck as he bent and stepped forward to kiss her. He didn’t give her a chance to refuse as his lips landed on hers. Jessica’s hands automatically went to his shoulders, but she wasn’t sure if it was to push him away or pull him closer. Kyle wrapped his other arm around her waist and pulled her body tight against his.

The kiss was nothing like what she thought it would be, but everything she wanted. Though she knew she should step back and break their connection, she couldn’t think clearly. She had wanted to taste him for so long, and now, for some reason, he was here. His odd behavior led her to believe he’d been drinking. She knew she had to stop him.

“Kyle.” She pulled her mouth away and pushed against his chest. He continued kissing her, leaving a trail from her ear down her neck.

“Kyle, we have to stop.” She tried again, her voice wobbly from his tongue on her collarbone.

In response, he pushed her back against the wall and knelt down in front of her.

“No, we don’t.”
