When it comes to Dracula, you expect it to suck…but Dracula Untold doesn’t. I give it a B+. The romantic in me loved the love story. As a husband and father, Vlad is willing to do anything to save his family and kingdom, even embrace evil. Just as it appears he will be able to save the people who mean the most to him, he is forced to fully give in to the bloodlust. It appeals that he's really noble after a lifetime of pain and seeks to save his people and family. This version screams sexy, from the hot Luke Evans to the lush period costumes and scenery. The scenes with his wife, shirtless will drive you to google this guy. Guys will like the striking sword play and revenge theme. Vlad is a man who isn’t afraid to “Impale” those who get in his way. There were some issues I had with the storyline. Some parts didn’t make sense but as an escape from the violence on TV, this is a good one. Certainly, this isn’t a movie for the younger audiences. Rated PG-13-this is more of a date night movie than family affair. |
