While You Were Sleeping... A Romance Bloomed! #newromancebook

I have always loved talking in the dark. When I was little, I'd lay in bed and share stories about the day with my sisters. We shared a room for far too many years. This continued as an adult. There was something so intimate about sharing thoughts in the dark with a loved one. We'd snuggle under the covers and talk about our lives or dreams.

Author Liz Ashlee draws upon that romance in her latest release CRASHING SIDEWAYS. In this case, Paisley isn't an active participate. She's been in a coma. Hunky JD Pritchard doesn't know her but finds himself drawn to her sleeping form where he shares all his thoughts and dreams. When she wakes up, he's no where to be found but a romance follows when they meet at a party. Now Paisley has found the man of her dreams (literally). But will Pritch allow her to get close, even if she can remember all he told her??

CRASHING SIDEWAYS is a wonderful tale of romance and angst. The author wraps her tale up with common issues of mental health and depression and shows it in a realistic way. Readers will connect with the characters of Pritch and Paisley who are opposites but certainly fully developed characters.

Out now in Ebook and Print- CRASHING SIDEWAYS is the third book in the Love in Motion series but each can be read as a standalone... just who would want to??!!

Blurb:
He’s her dream man. She’s his confessional.

J.D. Pritchard had no intention of stepping foot in Paisley Kelley’s hospital room, let alone visiting her for the next three years. But once he starts, he can’t stop.

When Paisley wakes up after her three-year coma, she remembers fragments of Pritch’s one-sided conversations—but was he real or was that just her imagination running wild? It isn’t until a chance meeting that she realizes the man of her dreams is a living, breathing, tattooed and sexy playboy.

None of the men in Pritch’s family have lived passed their forties and he knows his time on Earth is limited. Except the more time he spends with Paisley, the more he realizes he can’t push her away. He may not be able to promise her a lifetime of love, but he can promise to give her everything else.

The final book in the Love in Motion trilogy has all the feels you have come to love in a Liz Ashlee book—flawed characters, gripping storyline, and tempestuous love. The happily ever after will have fans of Asher by Carian Cole and Repeat by Kylie Scott falling in love with CRASHING SIDEWAYS.

EXCERPT:
“Have we met before?” she finally asks, voice shaking. “Before the party, I mean?”

All I can do is stare into her hopeful eyes. When was the last time I was speechless? Never.

“Like I said—crazy. I was in the hospital for a long time and there’s something about you... your voice... “ As she trails off, I feel guilty. Something else I’m not accustomed to. But I hate the way she second-guesses herself and how her body seems to turn inward. I had no intention of telling her I ever visited her because what would that even accomplish? She’s got enough on her plate.

Except the look on her face tells me she needs to know.

How does she remember my voice? One of the nurses mentioned she might be capable of hearing things, but why would she have heard me?

I set my coffee down, decision made. “I visited you while you were in your coma about once a month, sometimes more.”

She stares at me as if she doesn’t believe me. Even though she was here to ask the question, I think she expected her memory to be wrong. I could have lied and she wouldn’t have doubted me.

She drops her arms to her sides and tilts her head, breathing unevenly. “Why? You didn’t know me.”

“I don’t have an answer for you. All I can say is one day I walked by your room and the next thing I knew I was sitting at your bedside. Then I came back and kept coming.” I swallow, unable to meet her eyes. “How much do you remember?”

“Not much. I hear you sometimes—fragments here and there. Sometimes I forget them just as quickly as I remember them.”

Thank you, higher powers, for small favors. I admitted things to her that I would never say to another person, not even Beau. I poured my darkest secrets and thoughts into her. I tried to keep those admissions to a minimum, knowing she was waging her own war. But there were days when I couldn’t help myself. I had to tell her. It felt like she was the only person who could carry what I was feeling, like in some way she would understand.

We were both fighting to continue living.
