Picture
If you are like me, you enjoy a little snark with your romance. You want the sassy heroine and the wise-cracking hero. Isobel Reed has that down pat. Her romances are fast paced with sexy stories sure to have all your cylinders revving.

TOASTED is a part of a new series and releases on May 21st. TOASTED features a hot fireman who saves the day when a sweet young woman's toaster starts a fire in her kitchen. Romance ensues and a happy ending is guaranteed!

Blurb:
Welcome to Woodvalley Pines…where hunky firefighters save the day! It’s time to turn up the heat and hope this smokin’ hot fireman can control the blaze.

Libby hadn’t even been in Woodvalley Pines a day and she was already freaking out. Her kitchen had just set on fire. From toast of all things! That’s right, she was the victim of the elusive toaster fire. Yes, a toaster. Who knew they could just spontaneously burst into flames? She certainly didn’t. If that wasn’t enough to ruin her day, a swarm of hot firefighters seeing her in her pink pajamas would do it.

Zach tried his hardest not to laugh as the woman in the Disney pajamas accused him of keeping toaster fire safety a secret. He didn’t know where in the world this angry green-eyed princess had come from, but he had to admit that he was intrigued. After all, if she had this much passion when it came to talking toasters, what other kind of flames could he stoke in her?

Libby and Zach’s spark was instant, but will the fire burn out or can they keep the flames blazing?

Isobel Reed’s snarky humorous romances have fans fanning themselves as they devour the stories. Her books are one-clicks for readers who love Lori Wilde’s - The First Love Cookie Club and Jennifer Ryan’s - At Wolf Ranch books. Readers will struggle not to fall for the sexy small town heroes and the sassy women who claim them!

Author Liz Ashlee has a new romance that has a perfect couple who are there for each other. Max and Cain are able to count on each other, no matter what. MOVING FORWARD is now available in ebook and print. So be sure to grab a copy today!!

Blurb:
He’s her anchor. She’s his life preserver.

Maxine Dawson is pretending. She’s pretending to be excited for her best friend’s impending wedding, pretending her plans don’t involve moving back in with her parents, pretending she can move on from her past. Mostly, she’s been pretending that she’s been okay since her fiancé, Ethan, died.

Cain Hazelton is many things, but he is not pretending. Everyone knows about his short fuse, his preference for seclusion, that he only lets himself care about one person - his Grams.

When Max and Cain’s worlds collide, they gravitate toward each other for different reasons. For Max, Cain shuts down her constant flood of emotions and for Cain, Max makes him feel his emotions for the first time in his life. But before they can find their happiness they must overcome their pasts, their fears, and a take a chance on love.

Liz Ashlee’s stories are emotional reads about real world problems. Fans of An Optimist’s Guide to Heartbreak/A Pessimist’s Guide to Heartbreak by Jennifer Heartmann and Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker will love her romance about grief and finding the one who makes you want to live again.

EXCERPT
“Do you think the stars get lonely?” I ask in a whisper.

I expect him to ask if I’d had something to drink tonight. I’m already internally yelling at myself for saying that out loud. But he tilts his head back and follows my line of sight. “They’re light-years apart and I know from experience that even being right next to someone can be lonely. But I think for a star it’s a lot different.” He pauses and turns his head slowly until his eyes are on me again. “I think stars glow brighter than any light in the world, and just being able to see another star—to know it’s out there—is enough to soothe them. You beat loneliness by realizing there’s a whole world out there, not just you.”

I close my eyes and feel my lips tug into a smile. This man— he’s slowly entering my heart. “You’re a poet too.”

He runs his hand through his hair and grips the back of his neck. “That’s stretching it, Max.”

“No, it isn’t,” I disagree. “That was probably one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard.”

A slow, easy grin spreads across his lips, his eyes still lingering on me. My heart starts to pick up the slightest bit, sending shivers down my back. Knowing the rarity of those smiles, and that he’s already given me so many tonight, makes me feel a little drunk. It’s going to be my life’s mission to see him smile, no matter how much that scares me.

EXCERPT
Why had she said yes to this? It just wasn’t her thing. She liked libraries and parks and old churches. She wanted to cruise the river, listen to jazz, and go to the botanical gardens. Eat good food and sightsee, not slam shots and carry drinks up and down the street, screaming and yelling and grinding on any man who would let her. And she sure as hell didn’t want to hang out with most of these women. Parker finally caved and downed a shot when the next round came because she was so miserable, and she didn’t know what else to do. She hardly ever drank because she lost all inhibitions when she did. If one of the blondes decided to get snarky with her after this drink went to her head, she might end up slapping a bitch. Parker drank that shot, and when her head came down her eyes met those of the man she’d seen earlier today. Parker slowly brought the shot glass to the table in disbelief. Gabriel, that was what his friend had called him. Even his name was hot. He was all the way across the bar, but he might as well have been right in front of her. Parker swore she could feel his lips on her finger again.

I will find you later. He’d said those words before he disappeared this afternoon, but she hadn’t really believed it. Did he have a tracker on her phone or something? No, that wasn’t possible. Someone grabbed her arm and pulled her with the group out the door and onto the street. The group walked to the next location, and Parker looked back at the bar they’d left, hoping to see him step out of it. The sun was going down, and they’d already blocked off Bourbon Street to vehicles. It was Friday, and the street was already getting busy, people standing outside their establishments trying to entice the women inside.

Sunset on Us New Release Second Chance Romance #newromance

4/1/2024

Picture
Have you ever thought about all the guys that Taylor Swift has written songs about? Supposedly she has written songs about the guys she broke up with. I love her music but I haven't been able to put two and two together and figure out which song is about who.

The main character in SUNSET ON US by Gia Stone is a songwriter like Taylor and all her songs but one are written about the same person- her high school sweetheart. SUNSET ON US is a wonderful read about two people who broke up but get a second chance. I love stories like this because I believe in second chances. The best part of all in SUNSET ON US is the way Author Gia Stone weaves a bit of a mystery into the story. I couldn't put the book down!!

Out now SUNSET ON US is a book you will want to grab for yourself. But let me share a little sneak peek into the amazing story.

Blurb:
Every song was about him, except one.
Are broken promises worse than unspoken truths?

Cheyenne Ford left the small-town life of Cut and Shoot, with no intention to return. Ever. The pieces of broken gravel that flicked from her tires were not the only things she ran over with her exit.

Ten years later and still the sight of her bright red hair tore into Colt Clayburne’s soul. He was not going to let her leave him again. He wouldn’t be another song for her next album. Colt promised himself he wouldn’t tend to a broken heart again.

Broken hearts can mend, but painful secrets are not the same as broken promises.

SUNSET ON US is a second chance romance filled with a secretive past, broken hearts, and songs that made Cheyenne Ford a household name in the Country Music circuit. Fans of Tessa Bailey and Carly Phillips’ romances will love the emotional journey of Cheyenne Ford as she strives to do the right thing, even if it means walking away from the only thing she loved.

EXCERPT:
Her chest was like a fire with singed skin that traced around her lungs. She could breathe once they were out of the parking lot.

“I’m concerned about the concert,” Jamison said, his eyes focused on the road.

Cheyenne jerked her head back. Jamison was never concerned with things. Or if he was, he wouldn’t let on. And definitely, not to Cheyenne.

“About what?” Cheyenne glared at Jamison’s biceps. They bulged through his shirt. He must have worked his upper body today. Cheyenne let her eyes run up to his neck. His jugular vein was in full pulsation mode. This was not good.

“Security. We need to have more people. The Houston crowd can get a little out of hand. Your last album crossed over into the pop market, and that brings a mix of characters.” He merged onto the highway as if he was in a getaway car. No traffic laws were broken, but his moves were not his standard smooth disposition.

“Was there another letter?” The hairs along the back of her neck pricked up. It had been at least a month since the last one had been received. The police were still on the case, but Cheyenne had her doubts about what that meant. So far nothing had happened, but that didn’t stop the visual of the words that flashed through her mind. Jamison had tried to keep it from her, and would have been successful had Katie not seen it in the mailbag and shown it to her. They’d both screamed. It was so nasty. Jamison had run into the room, furious. This was the third letter. The other two had already been handed over to the police.

“I want to up the security.”

Cheyenne’s chest tightened. “Was it like the other one?”
